drove past it this morning and it is gigantic, obviously there a few indoor courts included, would like to see where the viewing areas will be for football, i assume there will be balconies?

Looks like there will be a balcony right behind the southern goals

Correct, reckon it'll be a popular spot. We'll likely move both sets of goals a few metres north.

It is big but when you factor in the numbers - 3500 people a week are projected to move through the facility - it starts to make sense.

Exciting times for us, been a lot of work for a long time. Lots of challenges as well - change isn't easy.

Mate Mitchell Park is on the up and up. We're almost gentrified. I even saw a hipster the other day.

73 Alawoona Avenue was sold in October for $950000. Mitchell Park is becoming a big growth area nowadays.

Brighton has gone massively downhill. Is now full of people who want to pretend they have old money but really it's as bogan as anywhere. Then if it is actually beach weather it's packed with soccer mums and/or pretend beach dads, their shitty dogs and their Prado - not enough cash for a Sahara you see.

The Esplanade Hotel pig trough is about as shit a pub you can get as well.

Classic example of trying to rush through gentrification, rather than the underlying culture driving it naturally.

As opposed to the VP Commodores parked romantically alongside the Sturt river Stormwater drain following a scrimmage through the industrial bins at the back of office works Marion or moonlight walks past the local house hoarders on Bradley grove

I think I'm taking that as a compliment from a footy club perspective.

Jetty Rd Brighton is so much better than the tumbleweed strip from when I was a kid but the comments about the Espy are fairly accurate. So much potential with that pub and the Seacliff (both owned by the Woolworths ALH Group) but they just can't set themselves up better for the location. Having said that I'm not sure any of our seaside pubs do.

There are 8-10 suburbs in the Marion City Council vicinity in Southern Metro Adelaide that are fast becoming way too higher value to keep many of its current residents beyond the next 5 years. It’s an area that in the modern real estate market has been undervalued given the location. There are patches that resemble a war zone however it’s only time before those old housing trust homes are shifted further South. Land around there is just soaring in value.

The strip running North South that's neither City nor Beach but is close enough to both would be a nice investment. Plympton, Park Holme, Ascot Park, Clovelly Park, Mitchell Park etc

In the last month in Melrose Park there have been at least three $1 million sales, one yesterday at $1.8 million on Caufield Ave (I am told)
July 11th 2012....

We bought land in Clovelly Park in 2018 and built in 2019. I know of at least 2 surrounding homes that are going up for sale in January that will both easily fetch 7 figures in Clovelly Park based on current results. On top of that there is a friendly fella who walks the streets at all hours of the day and night with his new born when she won’t fall asleep! Feel free to say hello or toot your horn if you’re in the vicinity…
