just been announced as C Grade coach (subject to Tues night committee meeting I guess), so I'll be playing coach. Have a tentative trial booked against Gaza.

I could write my coaching experience on a 10c piece!
I'll give it a go, I'm dealing with experienced blokes, not kids, & I have an experienced assistant.
Nothing to lose, so I'll give it a go.

Punk,
you will need that experienced assistant as playing coach is about as hard as it gets no matter what grade you are playing.
Good luck, its a great feeling when things go as you plan.

cheers, funnily enough I've been very critical of playing coaches in the past, but I'm not ready to hang up the boots either- once I do, it'll be for good.
It came down to that I was approached & accepted.
I am looking forward to it, but I won't be playing the trial games, as I don't want to go into R1 without "experience"

Flinders Uni had a couple of big boys playing up at Loxton, not really how big the ruckmen are in the C grades but they had a couple of solid units...

Would be surprised if SAAFL let a club have two sides in the one comp

We have been told that we would have our d grade in c5 by a person who (with no dis-respect to any of your opinions) was a former amateur league board member and has made enquiries to the league regarding the issue.Do not forget this is the first time this c grade system has been used (I think its a very good system) so traditional systems of one team per club in a division may not apply. Also in the past Adelaide Uni have had more than one side in a division........Any way we would have the team up and running already if we had the additional support staff to run the side available because we have the numbers but no trainers, team managers, time keepers ect........

i think the cut off time is in the next 2 weeks, i believe that we will get the numbers and the support staff that will be willing to help out, if anyone is looking for a game, send me a msg. kenilworth is on the improve big time, 12 years ago we were struggling with numbers, could only manage 1 side, now numbers galore and juniors are going well.
