Have been told a bloke by the name of Mick Brien has been approached by the amatuer league to take up a postion on the board .
What are this guys credentials ? Is this the same guy who owns the Alberton Hotel ?

A Mick Brien with the same spelling was on the board in the BLG, unsure if he still on the board this year. Nickname POP EYE had a pub in the main strret of gawler at one stage. I think he may have been the president of Willaston

I think Mick Brien was also involved with West Torrens cricket club, whilst Peter Brien is involved with the Port Adelaide cricket club.

mick was also involved with port
but had problems with the curtin brothers and left

had it confirmed its the Mick Brien who is involved with BL&G , his knowledge has help raise the lower clubs like Freeling & Barossa to the top i am told .
