Good club when I played.

Had some good under 17 players at the time:

Craig Turner, Robert Pitson, James Hitaller, Shaun Wales, Mick O'Malley.

Just couldn't win many games!

Such a long time ago.

Anything you'd like to add to that Mallee?

oh yeah - them too. ;)

Alan - always had a ball in his hand when he was young. forever walking around with it bouncing it.
I remember the wise old heads saying "he's gonna go far that boy"

One of the best games i ever saw was the pooraka premiership in 2002 i think, whenever they beat Seaton @ Norwood oval, it was a come from behind win and Robbie Kent, and Paul Maguire were inspirational in the victory for the Bulls.

the only sore point was when some FERAL Seaton supporters decided to spit on the victorious Pooraka players as they made their way down the race. it was a disgusting display and they should be ashamed of themselves. Their punishment was served when several members of Pooraka support group and several players took it upon themselves to launch back out of the race and engage in one of the funniest all in brawls i have ever seen. there was big fat 40yr old guys squaring up against 20yr string beans, i'm still not sure that everyone in the blue was sure they knew who they were punching on with, could very well have been Pooraka Vs Pooraka or Seaton Vs Seaton, i couldn't believe it, it was all i could do not to spill my pint or drop my Vili's pasty. 8)

End of the day, winners are grinners and it's only people that were at the gane that remember who played Pooraka, but history now records that Pooraka won the GF.

i was at that game and yes what i dust up, one of the best wins for the bulls but one a like better was the 89 gf win against edwardstown an old foe. i think there was a brawl when the national anthem was playing can you confirm mallee.
Three legends of the bulls in the 80s Dragan Tankosic fearsome man , Gary Simpson champ ruckmen and Ian Jones

i remember looking down from the stands behind the goals at the Parade end of the oval, seeing Crosso standing next to Hodges, he looked like a junior colts player standing next to and AFL, the size difference was unbelievable, not that Crosso wasn't big unit but Hodges was Massive.
