ELLIOTT

Postby mighty_tiger_79 » Tue Jan 23, 2007 11:37 am

reading yesterdays advertiser Elliott has mentioned how the REDBACKS are now on the search to get specialist batsmen coaches in.

I was very surprised to read that ELLIOTT with his avg at around 15 in pura cup for the season is a batsmen coach........... :? :? i mean he cant even bat himself, so how is he going to teach anybody else?? hopefully at the start of the lesson he tells them...'right lads this is how you don't bat'

and also to be fair he knows how to bat it's just that he struggles to do it himself anymore. That doesn't mean he can't pass on knowledge that he used to make truckloads of runs for Victoria.

Might have something to do with the ability and dedication of the other players as well. I'm not Elliott's biggest fan but he was a very very good player and whether or not he is playing well himself wouldn't affect whatever coaching ability he does or doesn't have.
