Malinga - Double hattrick

Postby RoosterMarty » Thu Mar 29, 2007 2:31 pm

South Africa looked like they would cruise to victory until Malinga took 4 wickets in 4 balls at the end to almost drag Sri Lanka over the line, unfortunately he couldn't take a 5th.

I believe it's the first time a double hattrick has ever happened in International cricket history.

Big name player that MALinga.

Something else happened there was a player who threw the ball over the stumps at least
60 times during the game with unerring accuracy.
Each 'throw' was within a metre of the stumps .....

The success of Malinga gives hope to Tait. Very similar bowlers, slinging action, very fast, deadly swinging yorkers. Malingers yorker is a step ahead of Taits at the minute. Great bowler to watch.
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run
