Last nights crowd...

Postby NFC » Wed Jan 07, 2009 1:13 pm

The official attendance was 13k.

IMO that is the biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard. There were 20k there last night.

I was discussing with my mates the crowd size last night whilst at the ground and we estimated it was around 15-18K.
It didn't feel like it was 10K less than the soccer crowd on Saturday night.

I was on the hill with a few mates last night. I would say that there was 17-20 thousand there last night. That is a very good crowd!

13k seems a fair way out from what all that were there thought but are we seriously questioning what they have taken on the gate?

i would suggest that the reason there felt like more people were there than the official figure would be that the vast majority of people at the game were actually watching the game as opposed to an international match that has a bigger official crowd figure becuase of the masses of people that are always in the bar/ out teh back of the members

Did you count each person 1 by 1?? If anything the SACA and Cricket Australia would over do the crowd to make it seem more appealing......

Rubbish, maybe out by 1-200 because of human error but when people start talking 4-5k out thats 25% error. People can not be that negligent. How many were there in the members?? There was gaps everywhere, the outer was pretty full but the capacity of the oval truely shows by how full the members and the stands are.....
