Middlesex have signed a contract with Adam Gilchrist, and are in talks with Sachin Tendulkar, to play Twenty20 cricket for the county during the 2010 domestic season

Players can make more money nowadays taking up these limited contracts. Gilly playing for Deccan Chargers now Middlesex, will probably be earning similar to what his cricket australia contract was worth. Why wouldn't you take part like this?

He served Australia well and wasn't premature in his retirement from Test cricket IMO. Deserves all he can get playing the 20/20 stuff. The problem I have is cricketers choosing to do this before they have made the grade.
