WA 2/112 20 overs

LUKE RONCHI a superstar keeper batsman who is destined to play 20/20 cricket for Australia
has smashed another brilliant 50 for the Sandgropers

gilCHRIST is still the very very best
BUT
RONCHI [20/20]
HADDIN [0/D GAMES]
PAINE [TESTS]
are ready

REB calm down yep HADDIN for all 3 forms of the game is the heir apparent , deservedly I may add.

Come on Lukey get a ton

Ronchi now 78* from 69 balls

Just hit Bollinger for 3 consecutive 4's. He is looking great.

Some poor fielding by both sides but the WACAs are starting to turn this around. Early doors the Blues were 2/9 but a fine partnership between Dog Scratch and That man Jaques got the Mightys right back into the match.

Dog Scratch called for the Powerplay (the batting side calls them this season, interesting innovation) but all that led to was his downfall. Since Scratchy got out the inexperienced Blue bats have floundered and now 86 is required from 11 overs so looking like a Warrior victory at the moment. That man not out 78.

NSW 193/6 chasing 269 with only nine wickets left. Mightys getting a few run outs now chasing the runs but That man still there on 83 but badly in need of support. Hauritz is in with him at the moment and Jack can throw the bat a bit but forget about the last two blokes. Champers Bollinger is without exception the biggest rabbit in the domestic scene.

All over. That man gone to the kid Heal off a reverse sweep for 83 and the Mightys are 200/7. Not much batting depth in this team. Where is Christian one wonders? Forrest in his first game batted like a bit of a Gump.

24 off of 11, quick thinking by Chris Rogers, caught it one handed, but had to throw it back in because he would have gone over the rope.

But as I type, Ben Edmonson drops the ball with what should have been a simple run out.

21 off of 9...

18 to win off of the last over now, still can be done, but very unlikely.

All over, 8 to win off the last ball, Hauritz not running hard enough for the 2nd.

Debutant Mark Cameron hits a 6 off the last ball - sub fielder Gillies touched the rope with his foot in completing the catch.

WA win by 1 run.
