What a soft decision.

Have a good win then win a toss and decide to bowl. Pathetic. You could probably justify it by the fact we have 4 quicks and its only a 4day game and the pitch is usually super for batting after lunch day 1 until stumps day 4. I havnt seen the pitch but it wreaks of conservatism and perhaps a captain who may not what to face the gabba early when the batting is more difficult as he bats for his life.

Why is dietz not the keeper? Manous hundred in hobart is the worst thing that could have happened. Its bought him a spot in the side for most of the season.

We also have a player aged 30 who averaged in the 20s before he was given captaincy. He has had 7 innings in the pura cup this season and hasnt reached 50 once. I dont think he has even lived up to his average. Nice to know we pick our best batting line up and every player knows it

To bag nsw o/d side is a bit rich. Them and WA have the most titles in the history.

I can see where you;re coming from but disagree. Our best chance in this game is getting early poles on day 1 (when the wicket is doing a bit) and then hoping we can put a lead of 100 in the bank.
Batting first would most likely have become a procession.
Need to have a minimum of 4fer at lunch I reakon.

Love your work! But watching us play one day cricket at the moment is bloody painful. You can just feel match after match slipping away under the captaincy of the Kat. Ack!!

You may be right. I am big fan of batting first. I am not a big fan of SA cricket. I do barrack for them though.

QLD @ 4/96
SA looking good, Rofe, Tait & Harris all have a wicket each.

Some inspired bowling changes.

Cosgrove comes into the attack then exits it immediately

1 over 0 maidens 15 runs 0 wickets

only to be replaced by the skipper

2 overs 0 maidens 17 runs 0 wickets

That went off without a hitch
