Bushrangers Vs Bulls Final.

One -Day Final today 1.30. Feel Vics have the edge with White, Hussey, Harwood and lewis the key. QLD batting looks fragile.

VI $1-48
QL $2-50

Earlier this year QLD won both the o/d encounters in close hard fought encounters.
QLD were at virtually full strength then and will struggle without the full line up
Missing from those wins are
NO SYMONDS
NO HAYDEN
NO JOHNSON
Also unavailable is WATSON.
HOPES is back from injury
VIC didnt have HARWOOD/LEWIS/DENTON last time they played

VIC will be without Brad HODGE but get back DENTON from injury

The Australian coach has stopped JOHNSON WATSON for QLD and HODGE for Vic
from playing in this game.
I reckon thats bullshit, they should all be allowed to play.
WHITE is allowed to play[double standards perhaps ?]

QLD best hope will be HOPES who took 19 wickets at 19.78 and made a 100 this year.
VIC are very even and play as a team.WHITE/HUSSEY are the danger men
and HARWOOD who averages about 13 in the comp the danger with the ball.

VIC for mine, QLD have run a few 2nds the last few years in o/d finals.

The last word: This game has lost interest without WATSON playing

White is allowed to play because he isn't going to the WI's. If he was in the 15 man squad he wouldn't be playing either.

But he might go because of SYMONDS ?[so I thought, but thanks for correcting me]

Anyway if he was in the 15 man squad VIC would be deprived of having thier
skipper play in a final.

After JOHNSON + WATSON were clobbered in the 3rd NZ V AU o/d game it
might have been more beneficial for them to play and perhaps regain
some lost confidence ?
Also youngsters playing in finals is an invaluable experience as well.

White should be going to the World Cup in replace of Symonds. If your not fit your not fit, why risk him. Symonds has bigger fish to fry in the future as in Test Cricket. Why put his career in jepordy for short term gain.

A MAHERsacre
QL 5/274
MAHER 108[133] good innings, been a good player for a long time
PERRON 75[92] had a good year unlike Bob Jane
HARWOOD 0/40[10] brilliant had no luck
WHITE 0/41[7] fair
LEWIS 2/62[9] garbage
HOPES 30[36] batted well but not going to the WI

Good to see a game on a decent oval
MAHER was caught on the long off fence one inch inside the rope
It would have been a six in NZ by about 50 yards
Not many posts on the final, if a certain blonde haired allrounder was playing ......

Looking forward to seeing QUINEY/WHITE/HUSSEY/WHITE/BLIZZARD batting
They key will be KLINGER who has been sensational chasing in pressure
games nearly every innings.
QL will need HOPES to bowl well.

274 is a big score in a final QL will be very happy
VI are great chasers and the winner ????

Great recovery by Nye.. after getting tonked for 6 he produces 3 dots then a wicket and finishes with a dot.

Blizzard can hit a ball so it's not over yet.
