Johnson is the all-rounder!

I hope Ronald can bowl better than he can bat...didn't even know how to wear a helmet...

As mentioned previously, and this is something which was discussed yesterday arvo with a few mates, why do we need an allrounder when we have a gun like Johnson in the side? He is a very good batsman and is the epitome of an allrounder. In the side for his bowling but can also bat a bit too, not like that hack Ronald McDonald.

Also Clarke is an absolute champion player. He has done it again. Last test he hung around without scoring too quickly but didn't get out, now he has some support and is flying along and hopefully is on track for a big score (not that he doesn't have one already).

Johnson will do what Warnie failed to do and score a Test ton. It might not be today, but it will happen one day surely.

He has a good technique. His batting will only get better over time. A very good chance to make a ton one day. Who knows, it might be today

A very good point that. I don't understand this "we must find an all-rounder" business; particularly when you have someone like Johnson in there already.

I think it's the 5th bowler they are after rather than a 7th batsman

Not that I agree with it 100%. But they see the value that Kallis brings to RSA, for example.

Tell you what Pups average is looking better by the day aswell. After that innings he is getting closer to 50 by trhe day which for a 27 y.o is very impressive. Appears to be learning more and more about the game and his game each time he steps out aswell. Turning into a very impressive cricketer with a very tidy ball and chain I might add aswell....
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

he'd be cursing himself the whole way back.
Duminy is getting some nice drift- in towards the left hander, away from the right.
Obviously Pup didn't quite pick it
