Good declaration IMO, no guts no glory. Qld batted pretty slow in the 1st dig aswell so they will have to take risks today, I'd rather see us lose showing some balls than play out a draw being too cautious, I don't think Qld will be vying for a spot in the finals come end of season, I may of thought differently if we were playing Victoria.

I would have liked 30 or 40 more, probably only another 5 overs the way they were going. Qld are equal top with us, we have dominated them for 3 days, if they walk away with 6 points I will be gutted!! We have given them a great chance and I have a horrible feeling. If they win Simpson will say it was a good declaration, good because we have given them such a chance, when I don't think we should have. IMHO

Do you still get 6 points for a reverse outright, that's a bit poo.

Good declaration for the game. At least QLD will have a crack and give us a chance of getting a few wickets.

Gettable though!

Yeah, very gettable, 280 is a decent total in the Franger Cup matches at Adelaide Oval.

2/60 (19th over) Carseldine is the key-holder IMO.

Yep whoever wins outright gets 6 points.

8 points available if the winner of the first innings ends up losing outright

SA will have to bowl well NOT to lose this match. Saw SA bat late yesterday at 5 + rpo comfortably, taking no risks. With Qld needing to score at 3.7 rpo, i would say that its a very generous declaration going on run chases that have succeeded in recent seasons.
LUNCH Qld 2/63 needing a further 265 off 67 overs minimum.

266 required from 67 overs, game on is the call!!

I don't like it, we go from complete control to 50/50. Stuff Qld, I would have been happy to put it out of their reach (5 or so more overs) and if we bowled well we still could have won, if not we get 2 and they get 0. Sometimes batting for time is harder than when your playing shots

Definetely, look at the last Adelaide Ashes test, classic example.

That is a ballsy declaration. Need to get not only Carseldine out but Broad also fairly quickly to have any chance.

So now your saying we should have played for the draw??

C'mon we needed time to bowl this team out? If we cant bowl a team out from here on a 4th day pitch with them having a decent crack at getting the runs then we dont deserve to win anyway. If they are good enough to chase down another 266 from 67 with 2 of their best batsmen out then they will have deserved it!! We had to give them a target as there much more likely to play thier shot hence more chances of getting them to play loose shots. Batting for a draw on a 4th day in Adelaide is not difficult, you need to dangle a bit of carrot and I think it was a great declaration

2/76 with Broad and Carlesdine still in.

For mine, the big wicket is Broad. Proven big run getter. Get him and they suddenly have no one to bat around.

Doesnt help with a 5run penalty, a bottom edge off Obrien goes into the Helmet.

2/94 off 34.

We need to break this partnership sooner rather than later or this could be the game right here. One of these two will need to make a 100 for them to win.

234 required off 55 overs. Slowly creeping above 4 an over.

WCP has an understanding of playing competitive cricket
That was a stupid declaration
Yeah I wuz there
I left in disgust
Fancy killing the opposition for 3 days and then giving them a sniff
Yep i will be gutted as well if we get done
But this is what you get when you have curators preparing roads
The same roads now for 2 seasons

SUMMARY
SA 5/477
SA 2/159
TOTAL 7/636

QL 308
Gifted 328 off 89 overs
Even QL the worst domestic bating team in AU has a show of getting these

WALTER to KLINGER
Klinger pulls thru mid wkt 4
Klingers square drives 4
Maxie now 92 of only 80 balls
They players start walking off, I look at the time, bit early for drinks
Im wrong we have declared on him
Geez a 100 would have given Maxie a real boost, but no for the sake of about 2 overs we rob Klinger a ton

One person in the Bradman stand as the players came off yelled out

"" Youve been robbed again Maxie...."

And one more thing
at the moment
QL 8 points
SA 8 points

Exactly, I hope I'm wrong but I think they will get these runs in a canter!! Dopey Doc, bowls an extra 30 overs yesterday with the old ball then gives them a lovely run chase of not even 4 an over. Qld should not have been given a sniff to move clear of us on top.....WCP is seething, I need to see a wicket soon
