Aust now 3/305

Hussey 64*

North 10*

One presumes this pair just hanging in till stumps, without another wicket falling so Ponting can come in 2 morrow at the fall of the next wicket

Good day at the office for the aussies. Pretty poor display from the windies though. Any news on what is wrong with Roach? he didn't look right bowling with the second new ball.

 Just when you thought he couldnt fail to get a ton he doesn it again....fail...

Last 25 test innings - 15 scores above 40, only 2 have been converted into tons (small tons too BTW)

Hence my criticism, doesn enough to retain his spot, thats all he wants and he does it beautifully

The rest of your post is fair enough but that is a stupid comment IMHO. Do you honestly think he doesn't want to make big 100's?

Avg 50.05 over last 20 innings. Not outstanding, but nothing to sneeze at either.

Since his return to the side in May last year, he has averaged 53.21 with 6 100s and 11 50s.

He deserves it too, woeful shot but to be expected from Clarke.

Yep. I wouldn't mind "choking" to score 89 in the Test arena.

I would hardly be calling Watson's a choke, got the best delivery of the day to him by Roach to get him out. Was simply beaten by a better ball.

Katich on the other hand.........

Young Kemar might just want to settle down a little bit with the WACA pitch. Many bowlers have come to Perth and failed. The WACA will be fast and bouncy, but value for shots is second to none as well!

Besides a good spell to Ponting, which still counts for nothing if he comes back in an belts ya around, he didnt have a great day. His last session bowling, all bit the one over was more than loose a goose.

Yep, Katich joined the list of chokers, after going almost his entire innnings taking miniMAL risks, on 99, plays a terrible 1/2 slog sweep off middle and off  and pays the price. One would think that after scoring so many tons in their career that they would just continue to bat norMALly when in the high nineties.
Clarkes shot was also terrible so early in his innings but thankfully those 2 have thrown their wickets away to put a bit of interest back into the match.

Yeah agree there with what you said about Clarkes shot, fricken terrible. But the West Indies spinners bowled alright yesterday.
