Good chance for the Redbacks to take 1st innings points as long as we can control the slappers in the tail.

Marsh has been batting better at 4.

was only the last game he batted at 4. Made the two scores against SA opening

No way i would play Marsh in the 3rd test. Not ready for test cricket.

That was the point.
But seriously.. Ferguson averages only 35 in First Class Cricket, Whereas North averages almost 43 and over a long period of time.

yeah and Steve waugh averaged 45 in FC i think and Boof Lehmann 56. that means nothing. players get better the higher they go

From memory, and I could be wrong, but I reckon Michael Clarke had a NSW 1st class average of less than 40 when chosen for the Australian side.

Given your attention to facts in the previous post, I will just ignore that rant as frustration. We are seeing the results of years gone by, the current crop of people will have results in years still to come

This is hardly a rant smac, its fact seen it first hand. As i said, the talent is there in the playing group and the good batch of U/19s but the leadership/coaching isnt.

Mate, you listed three blokes who have nothing to do with high performance - if it isn't a rant, it was just a load of carp.

If you were part of the system, perhaps we are seeing the results of your own influence now and we are trying to recover. ;)

I know they werent high performance but they are blokes who are around the place, poke their noses into things and attitudes, habbits etc rub off as the have contact with them constantly.....

As for my involvement in the 'system', well it had nothing to do with the state squads directly  but i saw enough of what went on and spent enough time their to form this opinion and many club administators/coaches feel the same way. FACT 8)

Unfortunately the Redbacks have not made any inroads in to the NSW batting lineup today, so you could be right.
Hauritz could almost get in to the Australian team as a batsman.

as stupid as this may sound does his ton helps his selection in the aussie side? the reason i ask this is he was dropped for not taking wickets or threating to therfore hitting a ton doesnt really turn his form around with the ball now does it?

adding to that smith took 4 fa does that place him ahead of hauritz?

and with that said the aussies were rolled for 245 in a day so????
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

I can't see how Australian selectors would take any performance seriously by an individual when it comes against SA. There would be very little creedence or value to it due to our poor standard at the moment.
