Why is everybody having a go at Danial Worrall ?
Leading into this game he has taken
6/186 at an average of 31
I would rather wait until a 21 year old pace bowler has played about a seasons First Class cricket b4 I could make a proper assessment

I find it amusing that two of our last three australian one day representatives can't get a gig in the 4 day side

The coach will cop criticism if the pace bowlers don't perform and rightly so. It isn't so much Worral or Mennie's fault - they are just here to play cricket - but it is disappointing when you have some home grown talent that isn't even given a look in. Sayers easily looked the most dangerous today and look how long it took them to give him a game. There should be some other states looking at, in particular, George and Christian and I wouldn't blame them one bit for leaving. It is baffling that Richardson isn't picked in the team.

I would've thought the side would look like this for this match.

Hughes
Raphael
Klinger
Head
Ferguson
Christian
Ludeman
Botha
Richardson
Sayers
Lyon

George (12th)
Mennie (13th)

Even would've considered Raphael out for George and move the batsmen up a spot each.

Worrall is THE worst cricketer to represent SA since Matthew King and at least he was a local spud as opposed to an intertstate spud. Heater - appreciate your loyal Adelaide CC support but he should NOT be playing FC cricket infront of George, Haberfield or even Opie.

Aerie Im with you , Chuck might cop some flak over this 'friendly ' pace attack
Guys like Richardson and George with a bit of fitness and form could play Test Cricket in the near future
Im not so sure about Sayers, Mennie and Worrall though

I would have thought an attack of
Putland
George
Richardson
Would be the best if fit and available

There has to be a discipline problem with Dan Christian
He is too good not to play in the current team

Oh and one other thing why are we playing 2 offspinners on the Adelaide Oval FFS

Peter George isnt bowling like the Peter George of 2 seasons ago, injury may have played a part in that. If Richardson hasnt fixed his run up yet (not an easy thing to do when you charge in like he does and bowl 140 clicks) there is no point playing him as he will just be taken out the match by the umps straight away. Mennie has proven he can play at the level, can hold a bat also. Sayers well he has proven he can perform hear as well. Christo while his form hasnt been great should definately been selelcted ahead of Worrall. Putland ahead of Mennie when fit. Jake Habberfield is much improved also, he will go for runs but can take wickets/break partnerships.

Footy smart its domestic cricket he has never been sighted in shield, bbl or Ryobi cup matches. It's only international cricket that they really police it.
