Surely we could get some young keeper into the side who is a specialist keeper and would do just as well with the bat anyway.

Time to look for the future FFS

Haddin has to go.[/quote]

The day of the specialist keeper is finished. No point going on about it.

I agree just saying if your batting keeper only averages 25 you might as well play your best keeper, while Wade was averaging high 30's I thought he should of stayed in

Haddin has to go.

Haddin's keeping has been quality this series. He almost won us the 1st Test with the bat. He is an easy choice for the return series in Australia. The problems start before 7. Worry about a new keeper when there is one that is either knocking down the door or Haddin retires.

How weak are the Poms? We cant bat and they serve up an Indian wicket when the Ashes are already won. And this is when they have Onions, Finn, Tremlett and bresnan out of the current lineup. Meanwhile so many of the English batsmen are picket fence men with strike rates that would make Tubby Taylor blush. As Captain, Cook is of the Mike Brearley school of defensive Cricket who has earnt the Ashes on the back of our ineptitude rather than through the dominance of his much more talented side.

They should be grinding us into the turf but instead they've relied on DRS chicanery and the brilliance of Bell and Swan to get them what is a flattering 3 zip scoreline. This is why they wont dominate us like we dominated them for so long. We've lost the Ashes but we are not without a show at home this summer due to the ingrained negativity of English Cricket.
