Today Clark was very very ordinary, most deliveries were between 122 and 126km, his quicker deliveries were around the 128km, this is not good enough at test level against world class players
Memo to the slectors
We need more than one strike bowler

You may be right in the future
However the past makes this post a strange one SYD
Suggest you look at his record
There are not too many who have reached 50 wickets in tests as quickly as Clark has
May I remind you of the 4/25 odd he took last test v India when
he tore the Indian top order apart.
He is the best 1st change quick bowler in the universe right at this time.

Clark is a very good first change bowler for sure. He just needs good opening bowlers around him. Lee is half of the 2 but Johnson is just average at best. He would be a handy change bowler but a strike bowler he is not. Johnson has a lot of work to do and how Ponting continued with him as long as he did still baffles me. There is a very obvious inclusion for the Australian Test side right now and it must happen.

sorry mate I am a batsman not a bowlerseriously though what I saw Johnson serving up in that innings was crap, even I could have survived out there, cause if the ball aint on the stumps you don't have to play it, perhaps today we actually saw the first chapter of life after McGrath and Warne
