Well, firstly,it was nice to meet smac.

Secondly,in an emotionally charged presentation ceremony, and with the opening line " Who the f*** is this bloke?", Andrew Hilditch presented me with my not so baggy green cap as the two overs of off spin I bowled in the nets made Nathan Hauritz look like tripe.

I look forward to making my debut tomorrow.Sorry,I dont have any free tickets yet so dont bother to pm me...

Good to hear Booney. About time there was some quality spin.
It was also good to see Roy signing plenty of autographs for the young (and old).
How can anyone dislike the bloke!!!

I'll be sneaking in with a mate's ticket when play resumes after lunch Saturday. Can't bloody wait!

Be there Saturday. Most likely spend most of the day out the back. Last year we went up in the mad rush when the 5th wicket fell and Gilly strode to the crease for the last time. Soon as we applauded him off it was straight back down the back. Realistically you get a better view on the big screen anyway

Looks like Hauritz will play. Unbelieveable that he has been gifted a second Test match he doesn't deserve. I'd prefer Watto to play to be honest

Do they still open the gates up after tea? If so what time is the tea break? I might have to leave work a little early and go down for a look if the weather holds off.

Been a while since I've been to a Test at Adelaide Oval, what time you fellas reckon one would need to get to the hill to sort out a good possie on Saturday morning?

Just looking through the papers this morning and stuff me can't believe booney didn't get a gig. Much better option than hauritz.

Maybe a good option for you booney would be for you to turn up to the oval in your whites just in case!

Horrie's Got a Gig *
(to the tune of Janie's Got a Gun)

Dumb, dumb, dumb Hilditch WTF have you done
Dumb, dumb, dumb we can’t replace that gun
Dumb, dumb, dumb Mervyn WTF have you done
Dumb, dumb, dumb, it’s the ground, it’s the ground
Nah! Nah! Nah! Nah! Nah! NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!

Horrie’s got a gig
Horrie’s got a gig
The Kiwis will be doing a jig
They won’t care a fig
That Horrie’s been bowlin’ poo
Will he get one for a hundred and two?

They say when Horrie was selected
That he was too ashamed to train
Stevie Fleming he’s a comin
Now that Horrie’s got a gig
He says ‘It’s time to play againnnnn’

Horrie’s got a gig
Horrie’s got a gig
His bog balls end in puns
Now everyone is making runs
Tell me now will we rue
So what did young Horrie do

He lobbed a half tracker
Got a test how easy is this game?
Yet another selection blunder
We want lightnin and thunder
As we all sit down and pray for rain

Smacked away, smacked away another four
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Smacked away, smacked away another four
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Smacked away, smacked yet againnnnnnnnn

Horrie’s got a gig
His bog balls are no fun
Tired fielders scamper and run
So what can poor Punter do?
He bowled Pup ahead of Horrie’s poo

He went to hide him in the covers
He had to let him down and end the teasing
And take him off yet again
He said cause nobody believes me
That Horrie is just too easy
How the hell we gonna win this game?

Smacked away, smacked away another four
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Smacked away, smacked away another four
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Smacked away, please no more!

Horrie’s got a gig
Horrie’s got a gig
Horrie’s got a gig
Everybody is scoring big

Horrie’s got a gig
His bog balls causing puns
Now everybody’s scoring runs (Punter, punter what’s your problem)
Cos Horrie’s got a gig (we know that aint right)
Horrie’s got a gig (Thanks to Warnie’s cash flow problem)
His bog balls end in puns ( the scoreboard boys will sleep well tonight)
Horrie’s got a gig
His bog balls end in puns
Everybody is scoring runs
Horrie’s got a gig
Horrie’s got a gig
Horrie’s got a gig

This from cricinfo commentary:

cricinfo.com wrote:As you can see, both teams have made one change each. Shane Watson goes out and Nathan Hauritz, the offspinner, takes his place.

You couldn't get a much bigger kick in the guts than being replaced by Nathan Hauritz. I actually feel for Watto.

I am not sure why they didn't just bring Cameron White back. Between him and Hauritz neither can bowl and at least White can bat a bit.
