I haven't met nor heard of many people with the first name O'Brien or Haberfield?

Anyway at the first instance I thought this was an excellent declaration but now that Queensland are going OK, with their two best bats both set, I am getting worried....

2/113 [40]

LEE 39* [92]
BROAD 51*123]

215 needed off about 49 overs
See how stupid that declaration looks now
Fortunatley these are the last 2 recognised batsman [but the keeper is batting beaut]

The highlight this morning was Haberfield bowling to LC on 0*
Outside off stump, LC coverdrived it, b4 you could BLINK it rollicked into the pickets
Thats as good a off the mark cover drive Ive seen
It was Sobersesque

Ridiculous declaration. I know we had to give ourselves time to bowl them out on what seems to be a flat deck but we shouldn't be handing out 6 points like this. It was always looking like a 2 point game so we should have just taken that and sent Queensland back north with 0.

Hyphenated mate, I did say 4/5, I'm sure you'll find a Haberfield somewhere working for Optus. ;)

Flood gates are opening, gotta love the negativity of some people! Mate given just 19 wickets had fallen in 3 days would you have preferred SA to play for the draw?

What will happen now ?
QL gets bowled out
QL goes for 1st innings points
QL declare 170 behind

One innings 1 declaration
Oh to find a bookie that bets on SS declarations at Adelaide Oval

Come on Les wheres those pitches you produced up until last season

Look at those scenarios listed 2 days ago
Yep QL finished 169 behind [or 170 to hit the front !!]
Is anyone surprised that QL would be 170 down and then after SA declared a 2nd time would be set a target
The only surprise was the target of 328 and not 350+

Why did we bother playing the first 3 days I ask ?

QL 2/129
LC 47*
BROAD 55*
only 45 overs left ....

and when a wicket dos fall it seems to be not out

Over 44.6: Christian to Carseldine, no run, OUT, tries to pull and is hit on the thigh, a big shout for LBW and after a long delay is given, looked clearly to be too high - a dejected Carseldine must go though out for 47

Not saying we should play for the draw but it was a very very generous target that was set.

A bit more luck like the Thigh Before Wicket and we might pull off a win here.

I hope so for pure amusement value! There will be a lot of blokes on here tucking into a very healthy serving of alphabet soup if that happens. Mind you most will probably be very happy with that dinner option if SA get up!

So at tea the game is heading for a draw. They need 182 off 35 and we need 7 wickets.

Get the rrr over 6 quickly and the game will be a boring draw.

Realistically it is probably where the game was going to be at this stage, wickets in hand and a reasonable run rate to chase. I think Qld has the batting power to give it a crack, it could be an entertaining afternoon down there, I can't see them just laying down and doing nothing.
