Well now the Vics have declared at 6/246!

SA 0/7 in reply so sounds like we will be chasing quick runs to set them a target, I really hope we make it tough for them as I would hate to see the Vics chase down the runs after we have out played them easily so far.

This is the first time in 14 matches that Victoria have conceded any points at all! Not even first innings points!

Declaration made by Manou

Vic will require 381 off of about 100 overs, pretty generous declaration with their batting line up, lets hope we grab a couple tonight in the 7 overs tonight

Have a bit of a think about it.

Before this game the vics were 6 points ahead of SA, with SA in second place. If the game was to meander on the way it is SA get 2 points, the Vics get none. I dont have a problem with risking the 6 points in chasing the maximum result. The worst outcome is that the vics get 6 points and we get 2. The vics are going to make the final anyway.

We have more to gain, than to lose. Good declaration. If we lost, stiff shite.

Agree. Fantastic declaration. If we lose at least we know we gave it our best shot at winning the match.

Think you will find you are wrong here Spelly. (first time iv ever seen you wrong though) ;)

They conceded 2 points v WA by memory this year, and then went on to win outright and still get 6 themselves!!!

Great declaration by South Australia IMO.

We have nothing to lose. The vics are guaranteed to make the final, we have already gained 2 points from it. We cant lose those! We can however gain 4 extra points. If that means we get beaten going for those 4 points so be it. However we needed time to bowl them out and we now have that!

A. O'Brien NEEDS to stand up tomorrow for us too win

I believe this will be Cuzzin HODGEYS 2nd last game
His last would be the NS V VI game on 18/12
Domestic champion batsman

VI I dont think have lost a PC/SS game since the NS V VI final 2007/2008 season
NS had a virtual AU team in that game

VI have the batters
But SA might do better than expected as the Vics with no HARWOOD and perhaps no NANNES/MCKAY could make runs

We have a rough hope if we fluke bowling em out for less than 350 in thier first dig

Yes the Victorian invincibilty is ?
Still have the batsman, but HODGE will be missing after next game
But its the bowling which is vulnerable in the short term
It was no surprise to me that SA obtained 2 points against the Mount Everest of the comp
14 consecutive games without conceding a point in the SS is truly a rare and immeasurable feat by the Vics
