Shit running between wickets from Pope - very slow and reactive out the blocks.

He must have either had somewhere to be or had a bet on how many he'd make, that was a woeful dismissal.

What odds after Day 1 with 20 wickets that of the three Shield matches on we would be the only one still going at Tea on Day 3

Got a feeling its going to go down to the last over or so on Day 4 too. Pitch looking better all the time.

0 & 35
0 & 60
25 & 100
0 & 53
24* & 24

And he scored 46* in his only one day innings.

He'll be 33 next season, and coincidentally that's his FC batting average after 156 innings. FC batting average this season is about 36.

He won't be playing Big Bash.

There are four Shield matches after the break (and two one day matches).

Realistically, how many runs does he need in those matches for another contract?

IMO unless he plays a big role in a SA Sheffield Shield victory, it's time to move on from him.

Since the above post:

6 & 7
1 & 14

Get. Rid. Of. Him.

Now.

And he's dropped 2 catches so far this innings.
