The atmosphere is amazing, scenario second to none. You simply don't and cannot feel the raw emotion of True Blue, or the joy, euphoria, ecstasy and again raw emotion of Careys 100 sitting at home.
I'm assuming you guys aren't SACA members, it may be different out with them.... LOL

I’m a saca member and when I walked in this morning was definitely over 50k very few spare seats plus everyone out the back.
The ones out the back still have to a seat don’t they?
SACA oversubscribe memberships because they know there will be a cohort that spend their time out back. It’s just easy $$$ for them, and why not when there’s plenty of takers to pay overs for what membership provides.

Trader wrote:Massively oversubscribed. It was packed yesterday. Very hard to find a seat if you got there after 9:15am.
53,500 the official capacity for footy, and they take out roughly 3000 seats for sightscreens.
Yes there are some out the back but not that many for the first ball.
The one other difference between footy and cricket is people go to the whole game of footy.
There are some that go in for the first session or just the last etc when it comes to cricket.
But yes, it wasn't very comfortable yesterday, and I'd image today would be even worse.
Packing in for footy when its 15 degrees is fine. Having a fat slob half on top of you in 39 degrees isn't much fun.

The operator of the Snicko technology being used in the Ashes has admitted a mistake led to Australia's Alex Carey wrongfully surviving an England review on the opening day of the third Test.
“Given that Alex Carey admitted he had hit the ball in question, the only conclusion that can be drawn from this, is that the Snicko operator at the time must have selected the incorrect stump mic for audio processing," BBG Sports said.

I'm fine with England being given the review back. I think everyone can agree Carey hit it and the technology got it wrong.
However, what I'm not happy with is the excuse we've been given.
They are saying the used the audio from the mic at the bowlers end, not the batsman's. Ok, possible I guess.
However, the spike that appeared was early, not late.
IF they used a mic that was 20m from the bat, rather than 2m, then the spike should have been several frames late, not early. The sound takes time to travel to the mic, that's why the spike is allowed to appear on or one frame late. If they've used audio from 20m away, the spike should be 5 or 6 frames late, not 3 frames early.
The explanation we, the public, has been given, doesn't cut it for mine.
