CoverKing wrote:borgas = dud!! simple lol well surely at state level you know the easiest way to score quickly is to it singles and turn the strike over... having cosgrove in the middle order would help a considerable amount, or even stagnate the batting order eg: have klinger at 3 ferguson at 4 and then borgas. get two people at the crease that will work together and offer something different..not just a leave and a defensive push back to the bowler

Borgas isn't usually a defensive player though. His natural game is to play shots and be attacking. This is highly unusual from him. I can only think that he is so worried about his spot in the team he is too afraid to play his natural game. Fingers crossed he gets to 100 and turns it on after that. Having said that the way he's going it could take well into day 4 before he gets near the ton.

Ya bunch of old fishwives. For months you've been moaning about Borgas' inability to convert a start and when he looks like doing so you're on him about the scoring rate.

Wrong player. We've been on about Ferguson not converting starts. This is Borgas' first game for the year.

The boys definitely need to start lifting the run rate. It took WA 124 overs to make 309 so they were hardly racing either. Their batting lineup does look pretty dangerous though and i can see them making a quick 250-300 and setting the redbacks a difficult target

wrong player REB was ferguson we are talking about! but i think it's borgas' second game..i stand to be corrected but Khan missed out first game and i think Borgas played in that didnt he??
and RR borgas is usually attacking, he has been chosen for his game, not someone elses defensive style, so go out and play the way he plays his cricket. but it is good at the same time to knuckle down when out of form! this time at the crease wil be invaluable for him. especially when he brings up his ton tomorow

Over 92.6: Magoffin to Klinger, one run, driven in the air to deep cover

deep cover? what kind of field have they got in place at the moment? would that explain the lack of boundaries? altho it should mean more singles

When will WA take the new ball surely that is worth a go to break the partnership rather than Voges  .

Everyone's done well out of the Openers reshuffle it would seem. Klinger doing well for the Backs, Rogers going well for the Vics and WA's Robinson has also made the most of his opportunity.

They still aren't The Kat though!
