2ND TEzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzT
EG 6/551
AU 513
EG 1/59
LEE 0/13
CLARK 1/13
STRAUSS 31*
BELL 18*

Englands lead is 97 with 1 day left.
17 wickets 1123 runs in this tezzzzzzzzt.
Strauss looks 'composed'
Bell picked the gaps and we need to set a 'ring' field and pressure him tomorrow.
Once again Lee got the openers eyes in and once again Clark got the results.

I will make an educated prediction and say that a draw is a likely result.

Next test Martyn out Watson in.
Giles+Anderson out Panesar + Mahmood in.
Glen Mcgrath is out of form with the bat, Anderson got him out.

Fair enough. The end result won't improve the side. Watson is just cannon fodder as a bowler at Test level but will probably be able to contribute the 10-30 run innings Martyn does. Why not pick someone who can perform one of either batting or bowling well rather that a bloke who does neither very well? He sooks pretty well though.

Watching Pieterson smashing the Aussies reminded me off the way BAYMAN used to
play cricket......BAYMAN was the bowler off course.

you forget one thing mal i was captain & didn't bowl myself as what you said would've happened, but as a batsman my scoring was interesting i had boundaries or singles only, no 2's or 3's & i could bat a bit   as you know
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

draw is a decent way to bounce back after Brisbane, get on level terms in Perth and just bat our way to a couple of draws and reclaiming the ashes in the last 2 test.

Yeah bounce back with a draw  Great attacking mindset. Just what is required i guess. This test is not over yet by the way

Besides to win a test you would have to take 20 wickets. How the hell are you going to do that? I could throw a dart into the Barmy Army and i'm sure i'd hit someone more capable of taking wickets that Ashley Giles.

ADVERTISER REPORT 4/12/06 ROBERT CRADDOCK[He must look at my posts]

__________________________________________________________________________

Given the desperately docile state of the Perth pitch, Australia needs an extra bowling option.
Our attack is getting older, and while strong,is struggling for penetration on home wickets which have lost thier zing.
The days of wiping out opponents in 50 overs and sweeping to three-day Test wins may be gone forever following the lamentable new fad of Hume Highway Test wickets.
____________________________________________________________________________

This is why MAL is crying for an allrounder[even a bits + pieces allrounder] to help
the middle aged Australian bowling attack.
MALS conspiracy theory :?:
Are curators preparing docile 5 day pitches for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
You bet they are.

Enter Shane Watson......

With that sort of mindset, are you sure you don't work for the team?
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

the poms batted too long in the first inns. should have declared earlier....flintoff is stupid, he should have known he hasnt the bowling strength to bowl the aussies out twice and he knows the aussies would make a game of it with a sporting declaration.

Oh well, a boring game...maybe hte poms can declare at 250 ahead at lunch and try and bowl the aussies out in 2 sessions

If Flintoff declared earlier, Australia would be bowling to England this morning with a lead and in a good position to win the game. This is the 2nd Test of the Ashes, not a park game...

EG 3/70 after nearly an hour.

Ponting has finally said enough is enough and bowled his best 2 bowlers
to start the day
Warne 6 overs 1/6
Clark 6 overs 0/5 and beating the bat with monotomous regularity

England lose 2/11 of 12 overs this morning.
Strauss was unlucky caught off the pad[34]
Bell run out [26]
Lucky 2 wickets but caused by PRESSURE.

Get Plonkerson out and hmn....

Plonkerson out Bowled by Warnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnney for 2 now 4/73

PRESSURE PRESSURE PRESSURE, great captaining Ponting
Poms only 111 up hmn....

maybe england would be bowling now...and getting aussie wickets instead of the other way around... warney stirring up old demons. :D

17 years england were too passive, 2005 they are aggressive, and win the ashes...2006, they play defensive...they lose. They have to take risks again ;)

5/77
Adelaide Hawks man Binger LEE gets Debbie Flintoff out for 2
PRESSURE
Flintoff averages 32 with the bat, lucky hes a champion bowler!

mt79 CAN WE win ???

LUNCH
--------

EG 5/89
COLLINGWOOD 5*[51]
JONES 5*[16]
WARNE 2/33
LEE 1/18
CLARK 1/22

England a pathetic effort this morning losing 4/30 off 28 overs.
THIS MORNINGS FIGURES
WARNE 14 overs 2/13
CLARK 8 overs 0/9
LEE 5 overs 1/5

Could be England all out at Tea for 160 with a lead of 198
Australia would have about 30 overs to chase close to 7 per over.
What an exciting finsh looming.

No Glen Mcgrath this mornig why ??? injured ???

After lunch Ponting to open with Clark + Warne pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase
