Why do batsmen look behind when bowled??

I mean FFS the sound of the ball hitting the stumps is pretty distinctive and tells you what has happened. If you are in any doubt a bowler, keeper and half a dozen fielders going ape shit and telling you to **** Off removes any doubt!

No need to look Dean.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It's a subconscious thing no doubt. Dean Jones was good at not looking.

Its been a very stressful match for Michael Clark for 3 reasons

A : Being bruised an battered and hit repeatedly on the body by Morkel in the 1st innings
B : Getting a first ball duck in the 2nd innings
C : The most stressful of all, deciding when to declare both innings of this match

True dedja. There is Jim's wonderful analysis of the character of the players. mal's insightful stories from the George Giffen days, which of course are still relevant today. Whufc telling us which players drove past the wrong side of the tracks and reminding us that Steve Smith is blonde and not a ginger. Rod Rooster praising Shaun Marsh for his batting feats, and myself being Mr agreeable and not scouring stats to prove someone wrong.

One of the batting insights told By George Giffen
When you are next in to bat , don't sit in the shade
As you walk out to bat it is hard to adjust to the sunlight
That was written 2 centuries ago in his book Bat and Ball
Only read that last year
Wish I read it earlier , might have improved my career

Speaking of stats , about to post one in the thread dedicated to Graeme Smith
