Agree, every rookie cricketer should be judged after 5-6 games , not on one game
I made 4 in my first game, and ended up one of the greatest self proclaimed cricketers Ive seen in a mirror

Give us some stats Mal, let us judge you.

COOPER = MARK WAUGH
FERGUSON = D HUSSEY

COOPER and THE FERG , can you think of anything more graceful than to see these 2 guys in full fight
Lets hope today is the day, otherwise REB will be unbearable

SA 2/44
COOPER 19*
THE FERG 1 *
COPELAND 1/13
CAMERON 0/15
CLARK 1/5
THE NATH 0/10

I think SA are in strife

Mal, PLEASE EXPLAIN, WHEN WAS REB bearable.

SA 4/178 [58]
THE FERG 55*[109]
THE DAN 43*[72]
76 partnership
good fightback by SA
still 95 runs behind, but showing a little fight
SMITH 2/64[16]
HAURITZ 0/26[10]
These 2 would need to bat until at least lunch TOMorrow
For SA to draw this game , one them needs to hit 150+

BULL
I made 4 in my debut game, primary school, the same year Armstrong landed on the moon
I dont wanna brag how good I used to be in my teenage playing days
But it did take me a few games b4 I made runs
Had i given up there and then b4 my first lot of runs I would be the Scott Muller of SAFOOTY !

MOFFAT
Hence the sniggering of Moffat is a bit premature
He needs to be judged after a few games
But never ever underestimate NostraNFCdamus, who like myself has this unique penchance of eying of cricket talent in its infancy
I will try and see Moffat next SS game for an opinion
No doubt the SA selectors will want to read my observations

I've seen a bit of Moffat. He has a good temperament, sound technique and is well organised at the crease. The only thing that concerns me is he has limited shot range, and in 1st class cricket you need to make the shot more than you do in grade cricket. I'm prepared to give him a go.

Hawk, he is the best we currently have in Grade, perhaps with C. Borgas thrown in, we have no other options. Hopefully Smithy (not the poster) will go back to Grade and get some confidence back, IMO he can seriously bat. Talking to someone a couple of weeks ago when we played Sturt, he said that over off season, Moff has improved his legside play markedly and that was pretty much evident when he made 40 odd against us. But you are right, only the best survive in the toughest first class cricket in the world.

SA 4/206
FERG 70* [160]
THE DAN 55*[135]
These 2 multi talented players have so far made 104 partnership, and might be substantially more
The 2nd new ball is the key
Just like in Hobart, this team refuses to give in, a draw or freakish win out of this would be a great result
SMITH 2/67, looks like these 2 are feasting on him b4 the 2nd new egg

NM Hauritz 13.0 0 44 0 3.38 1st Innings

NM Hauritz 10.0 1 26 0 2.60 2nd Innings

No wickets and by the looks no faith from his captain with lack of overs bowled.

SPD Smith 12.5 2 57 4

SPD Smith 20.5 2 87 2

6 wickets @ 24 for the match so far.

You also have to question where he batted as well.

I dont remember him being a number 4?

Could the call have been made to the skipper by the selectors.... 'give him a bat and a good bowl'

Dont get too cocky. We are a batsman short and if we lose a wicket soon the game will be over in a hour
