How can Harris be given out on that evidence.

Referal system never HAD a fan with me. I cannot believe people think you can accurately predict where the ball would have gone after it hits the pad. Hawkeye used to be a novelty, now it's deciding LBWs

The game survived over 100 years without technology, now it decides games, perhaps the only benefit i have seen with it, has been some evidence of cheating in recent times.

well you are saying Haweye is deciding LBWs, effectively what an umpire is doing is trying to predict whether the stumps will be hit or not

whats more effective human eye that can discriminate or computers

Yes, it's a predictive system with some doubts of it's true accuracy, but I'd back it to be less error prone than human judgment over the long run.

38,615 - that's a 1st day record for an Adelaide Test, beating 37,201 set in 1954/55.

That would be the only crowd record that could be broken, the following days records are 50,962; 39,876; 38,334; 24,529.

I couldn't see days four or five being broken (if it gets that far).

Surprising, would've thought it would be higher.
Have they declared a new ground capacity following the recent new development?

Was fortunate enough to be there today, I am really surprised of the crowd number. I honestly thought there was space for another 5,000, but then again, there was a few enjoying some ales at the back of the stand. I wait with interest to see the numbers for tomorrow, if they actually had 38 there today, I think we might top 40 tomorrow. New Stand - fantastic, well done SACA.

Aussie batting assessment.

Katich - didn't play a poor shot today.
Watson - remember after a break that you might need time before you smoke them like you did in the first session.
Ponting - I hate to see one of our greats struggle so much, Nielsen had him in trouble with his throw downs just before play started.
Clarke - looked like he was as anxious as he might have been on his first date with Lara. Is he also in trouble?????????? Played more shots than he does in 20/20 cricket.
Hussey - can we dream that the real Mr Cricket is back, looked so positive, deserved a ton.
North - Marcus, Marcus, Marcus, didn't look in trouble till he played that silly shot, very slow but solid today. Is in big trouble - Fergie keep making them son, especially if you do it as easy as that ton the other day.
Haddin - second best batsman / wicketkeeper in Aus history. Notice I put the batsman first!!!

I don't know what to think, less than 250 on the traditional Adelaide Oval road. I think we are in big trouble, lets hope Rhino, Dougie and Sidds go through them tomorrow. I cannot see them making less than 400.

Apart from 3 guys the rest should hang their heads in shame.
Katich- just dumb cricket, but it happens
Watson- i wish he would go on and get a biggie. Gets out too often around drinks breaks and starts/ends of sessions.
Ponting- struggling needs to drop a spot, even tendulkar bats at 4. Think the end is near if he stays at 3
Clarke- needs a spell, clearly struggling and shot today was ordinary.
Hussey- well done, would of loved to back him for most runs in series for aus.
North- you are the weakest link goodbye
Haddin- could get a spot as a standalone batsmen.
Big today tomorrow. Today could be the day we lose the series

I think there is more in this wicket with the new ball. However do we have the attack to make use of it. Siddle and Harris need to put it all on the line tomorrow morning
