Needed to get rid of him to give Patrick Page Jnr a full contract, they were afraid they might lose him to another state like happened to Jake Doran.

Also given half contracts (rookies?) to Wes Agar and David Grant who are on this list, plus Michael Cormack, obviously to stop the other states signing them also.

Any word on the Bowlers? I know our Shield leading wicket taker and now Dansie Medalist was still off contract during the shield Final....

Interestingly both SA's representatives are uncontracted to the Redbacks

Also Cosgrove's presence was a huge part of why we didn't want to guarantee Klinger a spot. Sliding doors and what ifs but far from hard to imagine Klinger and Botha being the difference between winning and losing the shield this year.

Other than Klinger and Botha never even got us even remotely close to winning shields, give me Cosgroves output this year over them anytime. Hardly ever failed and got us off to good starts. Yes he shouldve gone on with it but thems the breaks. Klinger struggled to get to 10 his last 2 shield seasons here and Botha, pleeeeeeeeeease, hardly a match winning bowler in 4 day cricket. No coincidence Zampa developed more this year than any other when Botha was here. If Cricket Australia are directing SACA to get back to 12 Grade clubs it wouldnt be a stretch that they told SACA Botha needed to go so Zampa could develop

Yeah I'm not convinced we would have made the final is Botha was still around.

My mail is CA voiced their displeasure on several occasions. Why do you think they investigated him several times for an illegal action......

Tasmania cut Evan Gulbis, Tom Triffit (for the 2nd time), Clive Rose and Sean Willis. Tasmania have 4 more spots available and will announce them this week

Would we go after Gulbis? Could be a handy Allrounder for SA? He's not someone we'd lose to national honours. He is 30, is that too old to be looked at?

Or are we happy with playing 6 batsman, wicketkeeper and 4 bowlers?

Don't think we need him. Plus if you look at his overall record it is very poor.....682 runs at 24.35 (229 in one hit v us  ) and 57 wickets at 31.28

I still reckon Tom Triffit has the potential to be a gun player, his main problem is between the ears. Get that sorted out and you've got a beauty.

My guess would be Cameron Boyce from Queensland, he plays for Hobart in Big Bash, and they have a massive opinion of Swepson so he has not been getting a game. Seems a good decision for all concerned to move.

And Tasmania have announced they have officially signed Cameron Boyce.
Good signing I feel for Tasmania.

I still do not understand why they have given Triffit the flick but kept Tim Paine. Interesting.

Not anymore.....

Tasmania pick up leg-spinner Boyce

Tasmania also score Simon Milenko from Queensland, No Cameron Valente so I guess he is staying in Adelaide.....

with Triffit, Tasmania must have a junior in the ranks they rate more or maybe they are making him force his way into the side off contract.
