Obervations from toights match (well it wasnt really a match)
- Adcock continues to start solidly and then just when you think hes in for a good score he gets himself out softly
- Couldnt believe the amount of sledging directed towards Manou. He struggled a bit early in his innings but he did come to the crease at 5-48 with more than 10 overs to be bowled and so he tried to score singles ect and did he cop it for this. The comment when Cleary got out caught in the boundry (ball after he had been caught just over the rope in the same position) was at least he got out having a go??
- Those "space age" pads that Tait wears are ven worse lokking up close
- Edmonson got MOM for getting Adcock, Harris, Tait and Cullen out
- Ronchi was never going to hit that ball from Tait. The bat he was using was too short to reach from next to the square leg umpire
- Tait was on song and bowling fast
- Ryan Harris bowled and fielded really well
- SA just do not have enough quality players, both batting and bowling. All out 97 speaks for itself and after Tait and Harris bowled out the rest was a large step down

Went to the game and what a freaking farce. Disgraceful batting performance.

Don't defend Manou, he was pathetic. At least Cleary provided some entertainment as the rest was pathetic.

Tait is a legend, bowled brilliantly. Harris also very good.

Manou 20 NOT OUT off 25 balls (1 boundary)
Cleary 8 off 7 balls (1 six) so the other 6 balls he got out and scored 2 runs - not very entertaining.

Yes the batting performance was disgraceful but I doubt it wouldve been any better if they had all tried to "entertain". At least wouldve got home earlier as we would never have made it to the last over.

Great entertainment tonight, these games are a great spectators sport.
Went there with a few SAFOOTY lads and really ejoyed it
Lets not kid ourselves this 20/20 concept is a winner.
We get as many to see a struggling SA as we do in some SANFL finals matches
In the Pura Cup games its lonley I sit in the stand and watch the game
usually by myself and watch it with cricket die hards
I enjoy the 4 day games as can appreciate it
20/20 is different , large YOUNGER crowds, and about a dozen of people
that I know join me for the games, and some of those young girls look very delectable !

todays results
VI beat TA
NS beat QL

20/20 here for the long ride

20/20 Wont be here in Adelaide for the Long ride if SA keep Dishing up Pathetic, inept Batting Efforts like that.
Crowd last week was 12 - 13,000 i think i read somewhere.
Tonights Crowd About 8,500
Thursdays Crowd at a Guess will be 4,638...... 12,897 if BOOF makes a Final Farewell Appearence like McGrath did for NSW.

PERFORM or PERISH.

2nd Ball of tonights match set the standard and showed the Negative Mindset of the Redbacks, Borgas lets a Short, Wide Gift of a Ball a Free journey through to the Keepers Gloves.
FFS its T20, Be Positive and SMASH the Crap or Crap off.

[quote="RoosterMarty"]7/78 off 16! Unbelievable. We suck at this game, bad.

I can not believe Dan Christian opened his f****** big mouth before this tourney started and said we could win this, how much of a tool does he look now!

quote]

when the schedule came out and before the season started i recall Cossie saying that they wanted to win the 20-20 because of the cash involved etc

so Dan Christian isnt along in being a tool in that regard

That was the worst Twenty-20 game I'd ever seen!

The Redbacks were pathetic, and to only score 97 is a disgrace.

Having said that, the Warriors also put in an ordinary performance, taking 17 overs to reach the target and losing 5 wickets in the progress.

On a side-note, whose idea was it not to allow people to walk through the members area at the end of the game to get out (like they normally do)?

Yes, it was a Good crowd But the Trick is to Keep people coming Back and WONT happen With CRAP Performances like that.

Another WASTED Season coming up, SACA will be too PigHeaded to change anything at the end of the season and we will back to Square 1 in 2009-10.

FFS there must be Someone in Australia that can take charge of this Rabble and turn them into something like competitive, Surley ?

Cleary > Manou.

Too bad they perform different roles and cant really be compared given that Manou is a wicketkeeper.

When I posted that I was talking about 20/20.

Our Shield form has definitely improved even though we are prone to poor lapses at times.

Remember we are in with a chance of making the FRanger Cup final so I'd say our form there is fairly decent. We have had some great wins lately with bonus points.

We are just terrible at the 20/20 format, the least important of the lot but I love winning and we don't even put up a fight. This game wasn't on Fox, Vic and Tas was.. thank jesus for that. Both those teams know how to play 20/20 cricket, it was a high quality game even though I missed about half of the Bushranger innings due to work.
