Just after Lunch and SA are cruising 3/330

Kallis 52* another hundred looming for Kallis
Prince 25*

Already 190 in front. Look for them to be 350-400 in front and the WI losing by an innings.

Its the money from ODI's first and 20-20 now that allows countries to stage Test matches that, in most cases, are run at a loss

Thank you Captain Obvious. My question is where does it all end. One Day Cricket was invented for that purpose and now we have this English Village green nonsense because people who were newly attracted to the game got bored watching 100 overs. In 20 years Cricket fans will be sitting there with their video phones, portable spas, wristwatch internet and won't have time to watch this new 10 Ten format which will momentarily attract transient fans to the game. In the meantime the real fans will be wondering what the hell happened to those old fashioned blokes called bowlers.

One dayers can attract the revenue without destroying what the game is all about, the equal battle between bat and ball.

REB test cricket has survived this long it will still survive with 20-20. Its the 50 over format that will get wound back IMO and personally that doesn't fuss me in the slightest

I think you are finding demons that aren't there, to me its great so many new fans (& families) are getting to watch the game (a version of it anyway).

What about this Indian Premier League thing Hondo. They could start popping up all over the place. 20/20 could also effect the way Test Cricket is played just as One Day Cricket has done. While One Day Cricket has introduced better fielding and run rates to Test Cricket I reckon the 20/20 format might have dire consequences...I reckon the bowler could become an endangered species and it is the bowler that wins Test matches. Also the art of building an innings might also be lost to the game.

I hope your right about those non-existent Demons.

4/490, leading by 351 balls, Prince on 95. One suspects that the declaration will come when Prince gets to 100 (or out).

A Bit Harsh ? The Windies are level 1 - 1 in this series with the 2nd Ranked Test team in the world.

Harsh yes but I'm getting so fed up with how pathetic they are. I have no idea how they won the 1st test. Flukes do happen.

Yet you keep on about the pathetic efforts of WATT000.

Confusing I must say....

Prince is doing this the hard way - he and De Villiers running singles are very edgy in doing so.

Or perhaps when De Villiers gets his ton - on 86 now, score on 4/535. I notice that there have been a lot of full tosses and over pitched balls from the Windies.

Big contrast in each batsmans' time in the 90s - De Villiers scoring shots in the 90s were 4, 4 and 4.

Shaun Pollock has also announced his retirement from International cricket after this Test Match and the ODI series against WI.

A fantastic career and will go down as one of the best ever from South Africa, could quite possibly finish on 400+ Test and ODI wickets if he has success in the ODiI tournament coming up..

Well Done on a brilliant career.

West Indies showing that some of them still know what to do when batting
4/256 (only 161 behind)
Samuels 90no
Bravo 75
Is there a reason behind Chanderpaul batting so low in the order, still has not batted in the 2nd dig

Farewell Shaun Pollock.
A great career, that has done justice to a wonderful cricketing family.

Brod, Chandy didn't bat.

I'm not sure why he didn't bat, but I reckon he's soft (until someone tells me he broke his leg or something as bad...).
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
