We only have ourselves to blame. The Redbacks should not be losing to teams like Victoria and WA. Simple as that. Feeble performances against the both of them has cost us dearly, and wasted a whole season.

Good start this morning by the Redbacks, NSW 1/6
Jacques lbw Gillespie 2

The Australian selectors have done a fantastic job on the mind of Jacques.

NSW 2/89 chasing 343, not over yet boyos. Blues rocked by Dizzy spell but Mail is delivering...meanwhile in Melbourne the Vics are 1/106 chasing 361 after a rain delay. The radar does not look promising for SA and NSW.

Vic still need 189 runs to win and WA need 8 wickets, if this match ends in a draw then if either SA or NSW can win, then they will play in the final.

But then again if both games end in draws then Tassie will play in the final, and also NSW cant make it now that Tas won, I should have mentioned that in my above post.

NSW can still make the final. They have 20 points (Quotient 1.016) to Tassie 26 points (Quotient 0.924). However, it looks like the Vics are on the way to the Gabba. Victoria 4/268, NSW 5/233. If the Blues get up then the Jellybacks bag the spoon. Plenty to play for for every side today.

Yes well Corey Richards gave you ever chance to win 28 off 101 balls. Did anyone tell him you guys were going for the win?

There's only one problem with Richards, he's not good enough..which is why he doesn't get a gig when we are at full strength.

Exactly like Tasmania did last season, NSW has finished top in the ING Cup and bottom in the Pura Cup.

Not bad luck, bad cricket. If we played to our potential, we'd leave Victoria in our wake. Can't wait for 2006-07.

A few games cost the Redbacks a shot at the bulls in the end. But the improvement from last season was definitly there. ALthough we are disapointed at not making the final the players will have to swallow that bitter pill and relise what it takes to make the final, and that is consistant cricket through out the year. Saying that im still proud of the effort that was put in this season. A much better season than last, but still plenty of improvement left. The players should look back at this season and yes they can be happy with the effort in the end but must say to them selves that it is not good enough.
