Stick around long enough and you'll end up making one yourself. ;)

Marsh has hardly proven himself as yet. Sure he's been consistent in his 10 ODI's so far but he hasn't made a hundred nor has he exactly dominated an attack. Not saying what he's done hasn't been good but it hardly proves he will be a dominant long term player in any form of the game. I hope he does become one though because we need it.

Yep, obviously it's all over for him. He should go play Lawn Bowls with Nick Hodge.

Shaun Marsh for me. Marsh has shown he can play a quick fire innings in INdia in the IPL and shown his grit in the last 2 ODI by top scoring.

Warner is all or nothing. Imagine Warner on a dodgy deck he would last 2 minutes. He shown he doesnt have the ability to push ones and twos, which is an important part of ODI, more so than the big hitting IMHO.

What more can he do than make runs in the 10 games that he has played?? Why doesnt it show his potential as a long term one day player?? Strange observation!

What's all this talk of "proving himself"? A 1st Class cricketer only proves himself in the Test arena, not hit and giggle.

Crap

Don't bother to make a counter argument, just say "crap". Great contribution.

I'll say it again: A 1st Class cricketer only proves himself in the Test arena, not hit and giggle.

Now you can come up with another 4 letter response.

But before you make a complete fool of yourself, limited over matches are not classified as 1st Class.

Ahhh but just because they're not first class, doesn't make a cricketer not first class...

It is still a fair accomplishment to be able to score runs at a reasonably quick rate in one day cricket.

It was pretty evident early that he wouldn't cut it. I'm not being stupid nor am I lying but I knew after that second T20 he wasn't going to perform. He tries to spank Steyn and he gets bowled middle stump. He's really only got one scoring area, the cross bat slog to the leg side. If he gets tied down he's all but gone, and he doesn't have the technique to succeed when struggling.

I'm not much of a fan. Maybe in a few years after he learns patience and how to defend but as of now he's worthless.

Warner has a long way to go you're right. He was rushed into International cricket when clearly he's not up to it and certainly not ready for it. It has done neither him nor the Australian side any favours.

So endeth the great Warner experiment. I'd rather have Cosgrove in the team than Warner, and that is really saying something!!

I agree with both of you. I couldn't believe they kept him in the squad for this game. It's time to let the guy off the hook and let him go back and play some state cricket. What good is this doing him?

I make it 9 international innings and only 2 scores. 1 out of 8 since that first 20-20

He's simply not ready and been worked out very quickly.
In between signatures .....

Whoever told him to bat properly should be shot, or if hes decided to bat properly then he can only blame himself
I suggest David gets the video tapes of his batting for Australia and has a look at how he made runs in January.

I had a laugh at the News tonight. They said Warner has been "brought back to earth" with his failure today. How many more times does he have to be brought back to earth? I'd prefer "brought back to grade cricket".
