Well there's no need to mate, cos anyone who has any idea whatsoever about Test cricket already knows it!!! Nothing like stating the obvious.

I thought only Tiser journalists isolated part of the story (post) and then took it out of context. I'll think you'll find the ol panther is one of the more astute observers of the great game of Cricket on this site Swampy.

Thats not rocket science
But what is neandertholic is to continue to play 3-4 speciallist bowlers against this mob

How did you miss his next two sentences which justify his original statement Swampy? :?

Swampy
I apologise for that 20 wicket to win a test quotation of mine.
Poor posting on my behalf
I forgot about the possibility of declarations .....

Just a sceanario for all the peoples in Safooty
Imagine the score at 3/130
If your were a South African batsman would you rather face North or Mcgain ?

And yes If You were a SA bowler you would rather bowl to Mcgain not North

BUT
The way to beat these guys is to play as close as possible to 5 speciallist bowlers, the batting is of secondary importance

Lordy lordy lordy
If its the 3 quicks
then Mcdonald
then North
then they will most likely make 400+ every first innings

PS
Still stunned Khawaja didnt make the squad

I can't wait for this to start too. Only problem is the NBL Playoffs are on at the same time so I'll be missing the first two hours of the day's play.

That is crap if true. I have been looking forward to this even though it will take a huge effort to win, it has been a while since we have gone into a series where the other mob is red hot favourite (I guess you can chuck an away series in India into that mix).
