Predict that the next two series in New Zealand will be POLES apart...

Close and entertaining series v Bangladesh (Sorry it would be if they played more than ONE TEST  )
Boring and one sided series v Australia

MAL, stop (semi) gloating and get in now for the next 12 months - here are mine and I am not happy with all of them, some of my favourites will be gone.

Punter - retired by our national selectors after Ashes Series.
The National Selectors finally realise it is time for re building after 15-20 years of standing alone on top of the cricket world.
Clark takes over as Test and 1 day captain and never plays 20/20 again.
White appointed 20/20 captain.
We do not win World Cup.
Brod continues to amaze with his cricket stats.
REB finally declares his allegiance to the Redbacks.
SMAC criticizes SACA cricket high performance.
James Smith regains form and on verge of higher honors.
Tom Moffat cements his place in Redbacks Shield team with continued good performances.
Manou named Shield cricketer of the year after Redbacks amazing Shield victory.

My prediction is that after we lose the Ashes and the Jellybacks finish last on the Shield ladder Bulls forever will be given a new jacket but won't be able to put his hands through the sleeves...... 8)

I'm going to get in early since Brod bumped the thread again:

Five interstate picks:
South Australia will not have a batsman gain international selection.
Bradley Hodge will be the Ryobi Cup player of the year (2011/12).
Shane Warne will take just three wickets in the Big Bash League.
The first Australian batsman other than David Warner to score a BBL century will gain a national guernsey.
In his first full SS season, Pat Cummins will spud up.

Five Australian national picks:
Nathan Lyon will not be the first choice spinner by the end of 2012.
David Warner will score a Test match century in 2012, and have an average below 30.
Shane Watson will open the batting in all Test matches he is fit for.
Ricky Ponting will gracefully retire after the next Ashes.
Tim Paine will be the regular Test match wicket keeper by the end of 2012.

Five international picks:
Mark Boucher will retire from Test cricket with almost unbeatable keeping records.
Mohammed Yousuf will return to Pakistan cricket.
Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid will continue to bat well for India, not retiring from Test cricket.
Tim Southee will tear a couple of matches apart, but fail to be consistent.
Jonathon Trott will have a batting average second only to Donald Bradman at the end of the 2012 year.
