12th Anyone but Johnson who should be bowling for the Warriors.

Still happy to keep Don North in the team mate? Chuck Hughes in there aswell with his stellar record of late.

Not at all. This is the side I reckon they might go with but Johnno might get a recall for the Perth test, hopefully not at the expense of Bollinger who I reckon might go well at that venue. Katich and Pup to play if fit.

Clarke should be out because there is noway known he is fit right now. Bring someone in for him. It's just going to make things worse for him.

I reckon Johnson will come back in and either Siddle or Bollinger will go out.

Doherty has to go, Hauritz probably back in.

If North makes some runs today, he might stay otherwise he will go out as well (I hope) but not sure who will replace him.

Will Hilditch admit he messed up yet again by dropping Hauritz? I mean the guy was only the leading wicket taker for the series against Pakistan last summer.

Which is an obvious sign of match fixing if Hauritz is taking wickets.

Even though there is only a question mark on the one Test? If you want to go down that route time to query the achievements of everyone who's ever played against Pakistan.

Fact is his Test record is admirable with 63 wickets @ 35 and he's taken 11 wickets @ 23.5 this season going for just 2.9 runs an over. Compare that to the likes of Xavier Doherty who's taken 3 Test wickets @ 102 or Steve Smith who's taken 2 wickets @ 71.5 at 3.3 rpo for NSW and 2 wickets @ 59 at 4.4 rpo for Australia A.

Harris will be ok for Perth hopefully, he is the one to do the damage at the WACA ground, evidently Doug the Rug aint too good though, also I reckon we need to find someone else to bat a 3, the guy batting there now can only get runs when there is no pressure and perhaps should drop down to 4 or 5

I have been calling for ponting to bat lower for 12 months. Age has caught up and like it or not he is a liability for us at the moment. His poor batting is affecting his captaincy aswell i feel. He is too stubborn to drop himself down the order but time has come for the coach/selectors to intervene

Honestly, I'd rather an untried bowler, i.e. Cameron, or a raw prospect, i.e Peter George, but I think more than likely Johnson will come in, they'll throw that "experience" line out there again...

Someone mentioned on another thread that we're appearing to be like ENG in the '89 Ashes... I tend to agree...

Please dont bring in hauritz. Play that fella in the earl of twirl suit on channel 9. Did more with the ball than hauritz :D
Doherty just no good.He was on a hiding to nothing this morning though, england needed quick runs to declare, they were always going to tee off.
Throw a squillion at warnie. The poms would shit themselves if he walked out to bowl to them.
Just a pity okeefe not playibg against sa tomorrow they are going with smith and hauritz. Okeefe is better than both but cant get a game

I really think we need a strike bowler in Perth.
for that reason I wouldn't play a specialist spinner.

Katich
Watson
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Khawaja
Haddin
Harris
Siddle
Bollinger
Cameron - The only QUICK strike bowler I can think of at the moment.

We need an attack that's going to take 20 wickets.
Cameron is fast and has a terrific strike rate.
George should be next in line but he rarely bowls 130kmh and at the moment it's not the bowler I believe we need.

I agree with not playing a spinner for the SAKE of playing a spinner...

Unless Warnie makes a comeback...

That's right coverking.
The game was at the WACA, venue of the next test match, and in his only innings took figures of 3/33 off 17 overs.
Bollinger bowled in the 1st dig.

Must play 4 quicks as we don't have a good enough spinner at the moment.

Should be White (instead of North) if only he was bowling himself but unfortunately thats not the case and North only keeps his spot because he is our best spinner atm.

Let Johnson loose and tell him to bowl as fast as possible. He usually performs well at the WACA.

Hauritz did just take 7 wickets in a Shield game at the WACA last week.
