The guy is not a Test cricketer. Might be a useful ODI player and from what i've heard he's quite good at that hybrid game (the one that is preventing any First Class cricket being played through December and January). That does not mean he should get a game in the Baggy Green. His Dad presented him his cap when he debuted and told him he hoped he got more use out of it than he did. I doubt that will happen and hope to god for the sake of Australian cricket that it doesn't.

The problem against your case is who is banging down the door to come into the side

Most SS Runs 2011-12
581 Forrest
538 Klinger
502 Townsend
492 Rogers
475 Christian
472 Nevill.
470 Cooper
469 Voges
453 Quiney
451 Davies

not too many test number threes in that lot (although i rate Liam Davies)

Not bad for a keeper. Best glovesman in the comp ATM, far superior to Wades glovework

Settle down if they bring Nevill in it will be just another case of NSW bias and SA were hard done by again and the baggy green is easier to get than the baggy blue etc etc ;)

Nevill is actually Victorian!!!
I hate all this crap about state bias, i dont care if all players come from one state as long as we are winning.
Do people want us to be like India where each region/state gets allocated equal positions in squad.
Cant believe people in SA keep going on about it

He plays NSW though hey,

I 100% agree with you but you know what would happen on an SAFooty thread if he was selected.

LOL. Not much chance of that mally, he still goes very hard at the ball. I just hope he can learn to hang around a bit longer so we can cash in.

Probably been mentioned 10 times over but I heard a beauty of a stat on ABC grandstand on day 4 of the Sydney test.... Since Craig McDermott has become bowling coach in the 9 innings Australia has bowled they have bowled out the opposition for under 200 7 times!!!

Obviously the selectors have a bigger picture in mind with these young quicks and that is for them to rip the poms a new a***hole in 2013. You would suspect unless something goes terribly wrong Ponting and Hussey will be in that side too otherwise the selectors have made a terrible mistake until this point....

Saw on on FoxSports today that CA gave Shane Watson an ultimatum. He has to choose what form of cricket he wants to play, has been told he has to choose tests or the short forms, he wont be selected for all 3 anymore

Australia are confident Shaun Marsh will be fit to play the third Test against India despite being struck down with gastro.

If not I am backing Travis Birt to be drafted into the squad, such is the T20 love from the selectors.
