I missed all the excitement due to leaving work at 4 and traffic being crap, couldn't believe it when I saw the score when I got home then see Siddle takes a hatty. Unbelievable stuff, on his birthday. Great day by the Aussies.

Katich could possibly be the most painful opening batsman to watch since Tavare'.

Bloody haddin costing sids a 7 fa :D
Cant believe so many people got stuck into siddle.
Yes doug was unlucky but i believe it was siddles injury that got him a game in the first place. They guy has a good record and as i said before the series that if he is fit he would be the first bowler i would pick.
Well deserved today and hope many more wickets to come.

Siddle is a good bowler when he does what he did today, he pitched the damn ball up, in recent times has been way to short, he got great rewards today by pitching the ball right up, lets hope he continues to do so

Ive been watching the IN V NZ and the PA V SA games
Boring
Batting paradises, with SOME of the batters inflating thier over-rated averages

Todays deck was fair
Seam movement
Bounce as the day progressed
Spin on day 1
Also swing as per usual
Batsman also had thier opportunity to get set on the deck
TROTT, KP, BELL all batted extremely well until thier disMissALs

This was a very good first day deck
The ones QL play on are minefields and too bowler friendly most times

The star Peter Sizzzzzzle 6/54
Not many expected him to do this on his birthday !!!!!
Sizzzzzle was born in a redleg preimership year

Today we bowled em out for 260
In 2 innings time on King William Road they are prob gunna make double that
Hence we need to nail them this test

AU 0/25 stumps
Swing king Jimmy Anderson, and finger spinner Swannie are expected to scalp the Aussies at times this summer
I disagree, I reckon they will not be that lethal on a consistent basis
I see Swannie averaging near 40, and if its sunny most of the time Jimmy the same
That leaves Broad and Finn

Expect bigger scores form here on , so to nail this Test is imperative for both sides

In six Tests at the Gabba since 1990, England have passed 300 only twice in their first innings. While they made 325 and lost in 2002, they managed a draw in 1998 after scoring 375

he joined the Hat-Trick club of Australia and there is only two non Victorians in it.
TJ Matthews born in Mt. Gambier (played for Victoria when he got his Hat-Trick)
and GD McGrath born in Dubbo
