Haha!! Got it in one. I am convinced some people who post here don't even realise the players change ends after each over :)

Cut the blokes some slack. He is playing in probably the worst district side and has taken 10 wickets @ 19.2 in 5 games.
His 20/20 returns have been pretty good. Who do you think should be there instead of him?
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Hey BF, there most probably is more credentialed players out there, but I for one can't go to games everywhere and comment on each and every bowler, batsman and fielder. I can only watch what's put in front of me. And what's put in front of me is a guy with some talent to drift and turn the ball. Yep, he's not going to get 700 test wickets but at least he can be serviceable which is more than SA have had for a long time.

WEll, Bf, you might not believe what you are reading, because you didn't read it properly.

I said he was the best spinning prospect I've seen for quite a while. That means I think he'll develop into something good, not that he's necessarily great just now.

Would you like to name who you think is a better prospect that I might have seen?

I think I've seen and played enough cricket to form a reasonable opinion.

As for your comment, AH, it's just a disappointing, but predictably arrogant reply to a fellow cricket-lover.

UNDER-RATED
Aaron O'Brien - Everyone on here pumping up the tyre of Lyon after a couple of games, but O'Brien has consistently been our best ODI/T20 bowler

Blizzard made a pair on the weekend for West Torrens so is in horrible form at the moment.

Can't believe O'Brien hasn't been looked at for T20 internationals especially ahead of O'Keefe. Has easily been the best spinner in the comp over the past 2 seasons.

There is quite a few around, obviously how they develop is unknown. Dand - Glenelg, Joralafsky (?) - Southern, Williams - Northern Districts, Graeber - TTG, Frick - Northern Districts, Cullen - Adelaide, I could go on. My query is based on that most of the above, and there are a few others, have much better Grade stats than Lyon and we picked a bloke, out of the blue, without looking at him in perhaps the Futures League, from a U23 20/20 format, where he played for ACT. If you are looking at longer version of the game 29 overs 4 for 150 against Pt Adelaide on the weekend.

I think I've seen and played enough cricket to form a reasonable opinion.

With respect, Bf, apart from Cullen, who was given a fair go (and I hope gets back), there is no way I could have seen any of the others, so I'll stand by my original comment.

I noted that Lyons took 4/150 (not flattering figures), but he must have looked like getting more wickets to have been kept on for 29 overs.

As I said, he's a likely prospect.
