You'd be surprised at the amount of the Irish Cricket community that 'support' England.

Having said that Cricket is only a sport played within 1 hours drive around Dublin and not much else.

Unbeliveable hitting. What about McCollum destroying his bat in half with a shot down the ground.

Lol Graham showing your lack of understanding

I'm not sure you can compare England/Ireland's history, culture etc to work commitments

You mean people that have had their family killed by the English are piss weak

Let me get this right though you are an expert on how Irish people should feel in relation to their feelings for a country they were essentially at war with

What do you think Indians would think if one left to play for Pakistan

That's extreme. Ask an Irishman how they feel about England and you get a variety of responses. Plenty of people move between The Republic of Ireland (ROI) and the UK for work, family, and leisure reasons. Plenty of people who live in the UK are of Irish stock. Trade is growing, the list goes on. Morgan is one of many except he is higher profile. He had limited opportunities in ROI and his talents deserved more. He has made a reasonable go of it. Didn't Joyce represent England and then moved back to Ireland for cricket? Ireland didn't disown him.

In regards to Eoin Morgan it was the more the way he went about it.

It was England who announced he would represent England at the World Cup despite Ireland being in it.

He didn't have the decency to let the Irish Cricket Board know first.

Eoin Morgan was also the face of Ireland's push for test status, his moving has really hampered that to the points it's now not even on the table as a discussion point

He refuses to sing God save the queen yet will happily wear the three lions which irritates a lot of Irish I know as its a pathetic attempt to show Irish pride

Admittedly my Irish grand parents and my partner and her family are northern Irish Catholics so more passionate about this than most
