They have conceeded that they have no idea on how to get him out so probably just trying to restrict the damage he could do.

Root should just pack up his stumps and crew and go home, half of them don't even look interested out there

Just bowl consistently at the top of off to Smith. Surely you have to back your bowlers in and attack him especially early in his innings.
Forget who it was but early in the series one of the commentators on Triple M said that one of Smith’s best qualities is the ability to convince bowlers they need to bowl wide of the stumps to him. It’s so true, they are too scared to attack him and just seem happy to try and contain him

They were mentioning on the radio earlier the water shortage is getting that bad that they may run out of water by March. The Indian players have been told they can only have 2min showers after play.

Both Curran and Crane denied their first wickets by no balls.

Rather than crap pitches I think a fair chunk of the bowling has been ordinary. Too much short pitched, wide bowling rather than pitched up at off stump continuously asking questions. Reckon I could count on my hands the number of Yorkers bowled in the series so far.

Good question

Field umpire gave it not out so I would think it would be their call on whether the batsman played a shot

My thoughts were he was not playing a shot. I also assume the third umpire makes that decision.
