More a win for England, deserve credit for their fight

Not quite sure why you would bowl Steve Smith for the last over with 1 wicket remaining

It had to be a spinner because of bad light

Only allowed to bowl spin due to light. Who else would you bowl?

Given the state of play in days 3,4, it's a win for them.

Crap Sydney weather and our pathetic fielding saved them.
At least they can be proud of being the worst side to ever tour Australia

Probably but we had 100 overs to bowl out that rabble and missed 5 sitters today

They faught out a hard earnt draw. As they should take something out of it. Morale would be at its lowest point I’d imagine in the dressing rooms. They’ve had a tour from hell of course they’ll take this as a small win.

Jim would say they’d be pea hearts if they lost, but then call them pea hearts when they fight out a draw. Regardless of the result.

Fact is, Australia like usual, are far to cautious with declarations. That’s Langer, anyone who thinks that Cummins is kidding themselves.

Agree if you can’t enjoy the small ‘wins’ on a tour like this then why do you bother playing the game. They know they didn’t win but it’s a step in the right direction and they showed a lot more fight than any other test. Now they get a chance to leave here undefeated in 2022 and a chance to make this ‘their year’

I hope they go and celebrate the draw tonight, many of the English cricketers will know they may only have a week and a bit left as a test cricketer, this draw could be the biggest high in their test careers. Got to enjoy the journey of improvement.

Spot on about the decleration, never needed a 400 lead. Disappointed we didn’t risk the loss (350) to give us a better chance of a win. Especially with the test championship around these days that rewards wins, we had the series nailed should have done everything to get the win. Yes we had 100 overs and if we held our catches we would have won but you need more time than ever in modern cricket. Tailenders have never worked so hard on their batting ever before and most have a solid(ish) defence to see out 30-60 balls.

Ha Ha

Where have I said “Neville nobodies” and “Kenny Could’ve beens” like you and I can’t have opinions.

Doesn’t mean that all of us on here can’t be challenged for our lack of what it’s like to be out there in the heat of the moment of the highest level of the game.
