Why did Benn get a worse pentaly. Haddin started it by pointing bat at Benn, Johnson came in and nudged Benn and then pushed him away. I hope umpire Bowden gets fined 50 % of his match fee for standing there like a dope when he should of intervened and put a stop to it straight away, looked like he was enjoying it. What a joke.

MASSIVE difference in penalties handed out.

Benn - SUSPENDED for 1 Test match OR 2 ODI - his choice.

at a guess, i would think he'd take the 2 ODI (max of 20 overs denied compared to about 50 - 80 overs of a Test match)

Haddin 25% match fee
Johnson 10% match fee

We all know % of match fee fines are a Toatal joke considering what these guys are on, it means nothing to them where as a suspension is HUGE as it could cost your place permantly if your replacement takes their opportunity.

As they said, Haddin and Johnsons penalty is less due to the fact that they both pleaded guilty. Benn did not!
That is why he has received a great charge.

Great start by Dougie. See ya later Sarwan

Why wouldn't Benn plead guilty? Who ever advised him to do that is an idiot.

No idea whatsoever. Im not sure if Benn plays in the ODIs for the Windies, but he will miss 2 ODI's, so im assuming he does, otherwise it is a ridicolous penalty!

The longer this Johnson "form slump" lasts, the more you wonder if his form against South Africa was an aberration, not improvement. He's still bobbing up every so often and taking wickets but you wouldn't call him a weapon on the back of it.

And straight away after the wicket his pace shoots up towards 150kph.

Also McKay is bowling bloody well here. Hope they persist with him, he looks to be serious quality.

Another International wicket to the MJ the champ
Not bad for a guy who has prob had the biggest individual workload in Australian fast bowling history
Mostly on streets, avenues, roads and highways
To contunue to take wickets is a testament to the great bowler
A couple of his stablemates Hilf and Sizzle couldnt quite hack the workload

And lets not forget he was the International cricketer of the year recently

You guys have got to be kidding..
The kid has carried the attack for a long time..
Yes he has had moments of ordinary stuff..
No Robinson Crusoe there....
The work load he has put out in somewhat batting paradises is phenominal..
Where has Lee, Clarke, Siddle, Hilfenhaus etc been why this bloke continues to run in day in day out...
He is no McGrath and never will be, but by jesus we would be real thin without him....

Agree there IO

Bravo out caught behind off Bollinger.

Nash then the next over, dropped by Clarke off Hauritz. One handed attempt. Still dont realise why North is first slip for the pace, but then not in there for the spinners??
