Good call Stan. Definitely bowling better in this second innings and been rewarded with the first two wickets.

4 fa for Patto yeah yeah! On a hatrick, Blackwood bowled first ball. A pair for him.

Whilst the temptation was just to list the current team this is the best team I have seen in the last 40 years. The only notable inclusion who I didn't see play was Sobers but his stats speak for themselves and give this amazing team a real feel of completion and balance.

1. Gordon Greenidge - simply devastating batter
2. Dezzy Haynes - part of the best opening partnership of my childhood
3. Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards - the master blaster
4. Brian Lara - had a cuttla handy innings in his career
5. Shiv Chanperpaul - weight of numbers and consistency. Great concentration and honesty
6. Clive Lloyd (C) - regarded as their best Captain and brilliant in the covers when young
7. Garry Sobers - handy record
8. Jeff Dujon - could seriously bat and an excellent keeper
9. Malcolm Marshall - broke the record for most consecutive 20+ wicket series
10. Joel Garner - looked unplayable at times and once pissed off the harbour bridge and touched the water
11. Curtly Ambrose - the last of the great devastating Windies quicks

12th man - Roger Harper - early in his career was worlds best fielder

Fair team, especially when the likes of Holding, Roberts and Richardson can't get a berth

Yep, not to mention Walsh with 500 odd wickets at 24ish.

The other one who was actually their best batter for mine in the 84/85 series was Larry Gomez. Hit 3 test centuries that tour and until Sydney when we spun them out looked like never getting out

Good news is this will be over this arvo to focus on the horses and tomorrow's Interdominion......

Just looking in the bright side of this debacle

I have to agree with the article in today's paper about having a point system and 2 divisions

Starc must be devastated he is not playing in this series. He would have destroyed these hacks.

Sorry I can't go on talking them up. This is brutal. Enjoyable, but brutally bad.
