Currently 10 overs behind.

I think this plays into our hands though.

Partnerships thus far: 15, 46, 69, 63 .. Just can’t kick on to big ones, story of the series for both sides I guess

Soft dismissal. Far out the number of pies Moeen bowls that end up taking wickets...

8/299 from 83 overs at stumps, pretty even day.
Starc 23* and Cummins 1*
Starts galore for Aus, Broad's wicket of Head is his 600th test wicket and his 149th Ashes wicket as he goes past Ian Botham who took 148 Ashes wickets.

England slightly ahead for mine..... (not taking into account the impact of weather)

Aussies will have to feel a mini match point was missed. One of those five who got a start go on and ton up and the Ashes is all but home with the Aussies hitting 400 in the first innings.

Day 1 to England for mine

Aust need well over 400 on this track, going to be interesting to see Eng tactics tonight when they bat

Thought our batting was poor, no one willing to do the hard yards, again only one batter faced more than 100 deliveries, that being Marnus again, next best is Starc with 70

Lots of starts with no finishes

As most have said lots of missed opportunities for someone to bat big.

Relatively even but I reckon England would be the happier team tonight

Over rates a disgrace again, both teams equally guilty this series.

We need to make at least 350, otherwise the poms will be in front at stumps, then we will be praying for rain.

Yep, Starc, Pat & Hazelwood need to wag for another 50 minimum.

83 overs. Did play stop for rain?

I get the perception England are in front, but for me if you send a side in and don't bowl them out on the first day, it's a win to the batting side

Normally would agree but England are a different gravy. They are sending teams in because of their ability to chase down runs on a day 5 pitch that won't be any different to day 1.

They're not sending teams in because the pitch is overwhelmingly in favour of bowling at that point of the match.

Agreed but it's even Steven for mine, they would have wanted to be batting and we'd be happy if we can get to 330 and bat the first hour.
