Good summary. I'd add that of the 2 who aren't up to test standard as bowlers one of them has the potential to be one day with a lot of work and it isn't the 36 year old.

If there is one Indian I admire when the chips are down its Anil Kumble
One of the few Indians who gets behind the ball takes the body blows
and takes up the battle.
Also bowls and bowls and bowls and performs.
9.1 Rating

Huge wicket for the Aussies. Roy gets Dhoni padding up. Definitely out. 3 to go now.

you been watching me in the back yard mate with the reverse swing as a 50 year old, but thats the balls you can buy, but yes seriously I agree, perhaps take the punt and use Symonds and Pup as spinners, there aint nothing else around unless someone wants to pay Warney a mill a test, think it has been shown finally in this test particularly today how hard it is now going to be without ooh ahh Glenn McGrath and the Warnie, if we had them this would have been over an hour ago, so it's time to move on, what happened typing and a wicket goes 3 to get in 10 overs

I can not stand players who pad every ball away, there is a block of wood in your hands. Use it. I'm glad he was punished, good decision by the ump.

We need another one quickly, get R P Singh in.

Hogg has been very ordinary today.

FFS get Hogg off, time to win the game either Clark or Lee, if this continues I will have to drink all RR's beer he left after his swim the other day

Roy getting heaps of quick turn, Hogg very little, how embarrasing for a guy that is supposed to be the sides number 1 spinner

why now with only 8 overs to go wouldn't you have your number 1 strike bowler on

It will be interesting to see what the selectors do in the next test. Will they play Hogg just for the sake of having a spinner or will they adopt 4 quicks for the WACA wicket which is slowy retaining its old characteristics.

There is no doubt the Indians have Hoggs measure and on a wicket which you would have though Hogg would have had his best chance. On this performance you would have to say having Tait in the side and having both Symonds and Clarke bowling part time would be the better option.

On the last 2 Tests regardless of how many quicks are played Mitchell Johnson should not be one of them. As for Hogg, well he is just not good enough and the fact he isn't bowling now shows that Ponting also believes this.
