Pakistan's failings with the bat in Melbourne have prompted the team management to send out an SOS for Younis Khan. The former captain, who has kept a low profile since he abruptly relinquished the leadership in November, is believed to be keen to respond and may even arrive in time for the second Test in Sydney, due to begin on January 3.

hope the delaration dont haunt us

:?

Don't get this? Regardless of our second innings batting, how exactly could it be conidered a poor declaration?

Because if we are dismissed for 120 and lose the game somehow ???
Just like the last test when we beat the WI by only 39 runs, and almost 1 day left
Dont mind declarations in the 3rd dig when time is running out
But its easier to slog first innings runs when the opposition is on the ropes, than a second dig
Now just imagine PA getting to 380 and we are 3/40 odd like today, hmnnnn.

Another day of Watsonion proportions

AU 5/454 DEC
PA 258
AU 3/111
Chosen one 64* [113]
Clarke 21*[65]

Take out WATTOS brilliant dig we MIGHT have been 6/100 with alead of 296
Dare I say, at this moment in time he is prob the 2nd best player in the team ...

International sides keep sledging our Watto
And our Watto keeps churning out runs amd sneaking in wickets

He was 18 when whatshisname clapped his hands at him repeatedly
He was 22 when Aamir clapped his hands at him repeatedly

He is 64 not out at stumps
Well done Watto , can dish it and take it

Yes he was childish for sending off Gayle last Test
But so were those Paki quick bowlers who showed some immaturity today

Aamir looks a ripper bowler
But blowing kisses at Watto is in poor taste

You're just jealous that he's trying to cut your lunch ;)

There's a lot to like about the Paki's, for a country that resides 166 million people, they keep churning out some great kids and putting them in their national side, I wish we had the balls to adopt the same strategy.

Very selfish decision, unless there was bat he should've just walked.

With the game nearly out of reach for Pakistan i would like to see us make another 100 or so then make Pakistan chase 400. I hope Watto makes his century today

How was that selfish? It was fair for him to think it was high and outside the line of Off stump. Hardly a straight forward one. A good decision by the ump to give it but a fair decision to challenge it, a cm or two further outside off or higher and it was not out.
