Cummins was better last night but along with Smith I'd like him to not worry about T20I's after this tournament finishes and that may happen with him now being ODI captain, only going to get more demanding for him to play all 3 formats.

I would’ve thought our replacement would have to come from our squad.

They won’t embarrass Cummins mid tournament and drop him but yeah, I think he could give T20 a miss.

He’d be spewing as his future IPL value would be dropping immensely.

So we need to beat Afghanistan and hope England lose or get washed out against either New Zealand or Sri Lanka? Is it as simple as that?

Yes or NZ get absolutely pumped in both their games and they miss out but that is unlikely.

Nah, I haven't rated him for a very long time, waste of a squad slot as he was never going to get a game.
Would have others ahead of him Ellis JRichardson to name a couple.

Cummins looked like he has lost some pace, I'd retire him from white ball cricket after the WC in India

PMSL when it was raining cats and dogs this morning in the Swich but it appears to be clearing up a bit. I reckon England beat New Zealand and it will come down to NRR and if we can make that up by beating Afghanistan more than England beat Sri Lanka by. The Lankans and the Irish could do us a solid by upsetting England and the Kiwis respectively.
