How was that selfish? It was fair for him to think it was high and outside the line of Off stump. Hardly a straight forward one. A good decision by the ump to give it but a fair decision to challenge it, a cm or two further outside off or higher and it was not out.

Didn't he lodge an unsuccessful LBW challenge in the first dig, the chances of an LBW appeal being overturned in that manner are always going to be slim unless you hit it, it will 90% of the time go back to the original decision.
It was a wasted challenge IMO, it was a selfish, desperate one, no respect for the experienced umpire. Rudy makes some shockers in his time but he tends to give the batsmen the benefit of the doubt with LB's, if he gives you, there's a fair chance you're out.
