Aamer bowling superbly, pitching the ball up and getting rewards, hope that Siddle is taking note

Well done to Aamer on his 5 fa. His last 4 overs have been very good.

Thought he bowled pretty well in the 1st dig as well, was unlucky not to get a couple then but his effort this innings has been superb ;)

Good bowler, Aamer.

The beauty part of Ponting declaring the first innings early is it saves him the problem of when to declare in the 2nd dig :)

Will Pontings early declaration come back to haunt him

Very selfish decision, unless there was bat he should've just walked.

How was that selfish? It was fair for him to think it was high and outside the line of Off stump. Hardly a straight forward one. A good decision by the ump to give it but a fair decision to challenge it, a cm or two further outside off or higher and it was not out.

Didn't he lodge an unsuccessful LBW challenge in the first dig, the chances of an LBW appeal being overturned in that manner are always going to be slim unless you hit it, it will 90% of the time go back to the original decision.
It was a wasted challenge IMO, it was a selfish, desperate one, no respect for the experienced umpire. Rudy makes some shockers in his time but he tends to give the batsmen the benefit of the doubt with LB's, if he gives you, there's a fair chance you're out.

Haha are you serious?

The first innings challenge was fair enough and to be honest i don't think he should have been given out, and i have no problem with him challenging this one, there would have been numerous questions in his mind, Where did it hit me?, Was it too high? did i get a feather. Yes he got it wrong but to call it desperate, selfish and disrespectful is very very harsh IMO.
