Our original Day 2 game plan was clearly to survive, with no intent.
Yet along comes Carey impersonating Bazball.

Either Carey is a dead set numpty, or the coach just cannot cope with plans.
Probably both...

Fantastic fightback from the Aussies after being 7/185

Good partnership between Smith/Cummins and Cummins/Murphy see us in front

Australia with a 1st innings lead of 12 but dare i say it a fair bit behind in the game.
I'd expect England to go on and win this comfortably. The Australian batting just hasn't fired all series. As good as Head has been at times i don't think i've ever seen a top order bat look like he's gonna get out so much. I'd expect Australia to be chasing over 300 to win and it's hard to see them achieving that.
Time will tell obviously

Hard to disagree with that.

This is where bazball is interesting

Third innings time to set up the lead, the speed they score at would no doubt panic the bowling team as they see the runs adding up quickly. Before you know it you’re chasing 200.

The downside is australia are going to start chasing the win on the third day, no pitch breaking up, if anything the best time of the test to bat.

In simple terms both sides made probably 70-80 runs more than they should have. Need a wonder spell and to chase less than 230-40. Anything over that we are behind in the game. The key is get them back in the field before tea - They’ll be rooted with stuff all rest and that’s why we made over 100 with our last 3 wickets. Soon see how good we are….

Australia hanging on by the skin of their teeth. Great backs to the wall innings from Smith and Cummins and Murphy's contribution invaluable.

Carey's shot was awful. Doubly so with the game situation. On the back of the dropped catch off Brook.

This team has really been built around the brilliance of the bowling foursome of Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc and Lyon. No Lyon, but we need one more massive effort from the three fast bowlers.

It won't happen, but I'd be tempted to open with Head and bat Warner at 6 in the 2nd innings. Change things up and see if it works.

England have worked most of our batsmen out as the series has progressed. The injection of Wood and Woakes has changed the series.

Not on any socials, any Tears Morgan flare-ups over Smith's run out decision?

His second over wasn't bad but just leaking runs easily, Duckett finding the boundary too easily.

Leaking too many boundaries, the amount of runs scored with the ball going down to third man is frustrating.
